You assume he had the same goals as conservatives. I think he was very effective at keeping Rino's in place in Congress, setting the RNC table for a JEB run in 2012 and preventing the Bush Administration from being conservative.
One has to wonder what Karl's relationship with John McCain is like.

Rove is just mad that outsiders are interfering with the Trough War. The Pubbie and Donkey players just want to continue the freindly war for turns at the trough.
