Question: Should the new GOP majority call on Obama to resign? (Not an excerpt, just asking)

OK... by now it is clear that the Kenyan Usurper is not only the worst president of all time, but one of the most unpopular. The American public -- even those who claim to like Barry a little bit -- have lost confidence in him. This is an intolerable situation that is unprecedented in modern times. Not even Carter saw such a huge, obvious meltdown.

It's also pretty clear that the Republicans will seize convincing majorities in both houses of Congress in November. I expect as many as 100 picked-up seats in the House and a re-taking of the Senate. That result will confirm the resounding rejection of Barry O. by the American people.

For the sake of American security, national pride and common sense, shouldn't the GOP-controlled Congress pass a resolution strongly urging Obama to resign? I think so. I think that will be called for.

Ideally, the resolution also would call on Biden to resign as well. But maybe that would be going too far.

I guess I agree with you and I don't. Yes, I have noticed a decline over the years, and some recent threads have made me question why I spend time here. Still, there are individual posters I like, and individual threads that I find interesting. There is still some variety.

As for Jim Robinson, I am grateful to him for providing the forum, and I'm not sure how much he personally influences this site's contents. FR is not like Little Green Footballs, where posters must praise and agree with the site's founder or be banned. On FR, individual posters have quite a bit of freedom, and they deserve full blame/credit for their posts.

We have a deeply flawed political system, where we are stuck with a virtual dictator for four years, and I’d bet woth this one for eight years, (because voting him out would be”racist”), and can do nuttin about it. In (slightly) superior political systems the president represents the country abroad, signs or vetoes the legislation, while the prime minister and his cabinet, who can be recalled at any time, hold the executive power. Here is a better look at it. The name struck out says Barack Hussein Obama (Soebarkah) from the 1968 passport application.

Stanley Ann Dunham Soetoro likely removed Obama's name from her passport application after she read the statement because Obama likely became a citizen of Indonesia, and as we know, he was already a citizen of Kenya. This little strike out by Mrs Ann Soetero also give credence that Obama was not born in the US, and as we know, she was not old enough to pass on US citizenship to Obama per US law if Obama was born overseas. The removal of Obama's name tells us a lot.

Passport statement says:

"I have not (and no other person including in the passport or documentation has), since acquiring United States Citizenship, been naturalized as a citizen of a foreign state; take an oath or made an affirmation or other formal declaration of allegiance to a foreign state...."

It came as way of a suit and court order won in pursuit of Obama and his mother Stanley Ann's passport records after a FOIA request was turned down by the government. A Christopher Strunk won a partial victory from the court decreeing that the deceased mother's passport record should be released but not Obama's. As I recall, Strunk again had to go back to the court to compel this government to follow the court order as they were dragging their feet. When the government finally followed the court order, they only partially followed through by saying that the original Stanley Ann Dunham circa 1961 passport records were destroyed by some GSA directive but that appears to be a lie.

If Obama was a legitimate US citizen, her mother would have been allowed to keep Obama on her passport application, but I suspect she had no legit American birth certificate or other proof of US citizenship for Obama to go with the application.

I too received my first US passport around 1968 and I was placed on my mother's passport application. I still have the passport somewhere, and as she even signed my name on it where it also states "signed by the mother."

If I was LTC Lakin defense in his court martial, I would use this as exhibit 'A' evidence to show Obama was not a US citizen to the military panel(jury) either by hook or crook. Here are three links to P & E articles that explains the story.

The marriage date in 1965 would have made Obama young enough to become an automatic Indonesian citizen, so there would have been no need for him to naturalize nor techically to renouce his U.S. citizenship.

No one named Barack Obama are on any of her passport applications in the FOIA. Before her 1968 application, the State Dept. only released an Amendment (6-29-67) to her March 3rd 1965 application to change her name to Soetoro. The Stanley Ann's 1965 passport application is missing from the court ordered of the State Department FOIA release.

It has also been determined that Dunham had another passport before her 1965 passport circa 1961. There are many missing pages to the State Department release. As I recall how passport applications worked, Obama should have been on her Jan 4, 1972 application if the 10 yr old Obama was a US citizen, but that page is also missing from the FOIA release.

If a challenge to Obama’s eligibility for re-election is fully explored in court, the collateral damage to the ruling class could be horrendous. The ridiculed and despised “birthers” proved to have been right after all? Since that must never be allowed to happen, I believe Obama will resign or otherwise be induced to leave office in the not too distant future and it won’t be a strictly Democrat or Republican effort. The price will probably having President Biden for two years.

A slight clarification to my last post to you. The child Barack Obama is only seen in one instance (1967) in all the Stanley Ann Dunham Soetoro passport applications released by the State Department.
