Election Workers Violate Law, Cheer Embattled Rangel
But their predictions of victory for scandal-plagued congressman may well come true

HARLEM, N.Y. (WPIX) — Even though they're required to be impartial, poll workers cheered on scandal-plagued Congressman Charlie Rangel as he arrived to cast his vote.

"The law prohibits electioneering and other improper activity within the polling place," is a requirement of the New York City Board of Elections. However, the people working for the board at Rangel's local polling place, P.S. 175, an elementary school on 134th Street in Harlem, not only applauded and cheered when the congressman entered the polling place, some even shouted, "He's going to stay!" and "He's ours!"

**SNIP**

Even though election workers' shouts of victory may hold true for the man who represents the 5th Congressional District, many polls, particularly one conducted by the New York Times show that an overwhelming majority of New Yorkers -- not necessarily, though, from his district -- want Rangel to step down. Even President Barack Obama called for Rangel to leave "in dignity."

PIX 11 News asked Rangel what promise he can make to voters to win back their trust, to which he replied, "I promise them that I have never disappointed them legislatively, politically or morally."

We are no longer a nation of laws. We are no longer governed under the Constitution.

I’ve thought for a long time that there is so much election fraud in the inner cities it’s not even funny .

Who’s gonna rat in the hood? In fact, what honest soul would even want to spend the day with these hood-lums

these people really do not believe in a nation of laws.

Did their parents or their teachers never tell them that there are laws which you have to go for and how this country was made great.
These people at a drop of a hat would bang in a bunch of fraudulent votes to get their numbers up and then think nothing of it,, instead I bet they would laugh about it.

it’s sickening how much fraud the Dems do.

The last election they overwhelmed the system so much that if they got caught for half a million fraud votes they would have still sneaked another half million through.

It is sickening and then just as bad is how the media cover , lie for the Dems when they do this.

It is not in my normal nature to be cynical but, I bet his constituents will vote him back in for ‘sticking it to the man’.

Come on now: Is anyone really surprised that blacks in Rangel’s district back him whether he is a crook or not.?

As long as they think Charlie is sticking to the Honkey, they could care less if he gets rich doing it.

It’s all about race, and what Charlie can deliver for them.

Yet another sign that we will never be truly united as a nation. All the pious homilies from the elites about how we must have brotherhood and work together and all that is largely BS since some segments of society will always put race first. Yet somehow it is assumed that white racism is the problem.

In Black polling places, just like Black churches, you can say and do what you want and nobody will bother you. But, don't try it in a white polling place or a white church......

His opponent, Adam Clayton Powell III, should raise some hell over this. But, he probably won't because he knows 80 y.o. Charlie won't be around forever and he wants another shot at that seat that his daddy held before Charlie defeated him in 1970.

Everytime they cheat, it proves that they KNOW they can't win any other way.

Then - like obama - when they cheat their way in, they just can't handle the job.

Everyone eventually reaches their level of incompetancy, but some - like obama - started out that way.
