Debate begins at 8:00 p.m. You can stream the debate from here for video or here for audio. Kasich holds a double-digit leads in recent polls.
Not sure what if anything it would affect if Kasich was actually a “Wall Street Insider”. A governor in Ohio doesn’t regulate Wall Street. Unless he means Wall St. down by Kettering.
of course not.
Good point. Kasich was a bit player at Lehman Brothers and Strickland is making him out to be Bernie Madoff.
I tuned in at 8:15 and I think that Kasich is wasting the petty Stickland.
I’m glad Kasich is finally highlighting his work in Congress in the 90s. I’m not sure any single politician was more responsible for the economic success of the 90s than Kasich.
Well, it’s not that hard. McCain might be able to beat Strickland in a debate. Of course, that’s assuming McCain wouldn’t wander around the stage like an Alzheimer’s patient in a nursing home.
This 3C train idea is a joke.
The idiot reporter thinks we should raise taxes on businesses. That’s brilliant.
How in the hell did Strickland get elected in the first place??? What an awful performance.
I like McCain's other debating tactic: the other guy lies about you and you stand there and smile at him.
Wow, it took until 8:47 for Strickland to mention NAFTA.
This state is an economic disaster and this bimbo reporter is concerned about our capital punishment system. That’s almost as moronic as the idiot who called Rush today and said the only issue he cares about is animal rights.
A homosexual marriage question is probably coming.
That was a hoot. Yeah, sure, that’s the ticket, raise taxes on business so they’ll leave the state faster and in bigger numbers.
Exactly. I’d like to see Kasich propose phasing out the corporate income tax altogether. That would give us a significant comparitive advantage over surrounding states.
I’m surprised they didn’t. I’m pretty sure they did 4 years ago.
I’m glad Kasich was able to make the point that we’ve lost far more jobs to other states than to China.
When I was looking to incorporate several years back Ohio was talking of taxing gross income instead of net profit. Ended up incorporating in Wyoming and putting the business in Indiana. Its a two hour drive but the tax savings paid for the property.
Ohio - you want jobs? Become the financially rational place to locate. Don’t want jobs? Be a typical dem and make sure every business knows your a loose cannon on taxes.
He did well. The best part is, he’s forcing Strickland into sounding like he’s almost a conservtive.
