Jim Greer: Many in the GOP “have racist views” (Crist's crony begging for a presidential pardon)
Orlando Sentinel ^ | September 14, 2010 | Staff

Last year, former RPOF Chairman Jim Greer made national news by raising a ruckus about President Barack Obama’s speech to school kids.

Greer complained that Obama was trying “indoctrinate” children.

Well, a year later, Greer’s been forced out as party chairman, is facing criminal charges over his handling of RPOF finances and is engaged in a scorched-earth campaign with his former associates. Over the weekend, the party said it might sue Greer — and Gov. Charlie Crist — to get back money spent inappropriately.

So how did Greer respond? With a text message today slamming the GOP and saying he was wrong last year about Obama’s speech. Here you go …

I wanted to send you my thoughts about the Obama speech to kids …

“In the year since I issued a prepared statement regarding President Obama speaking to the Nation’s school children, I have learned a great deal about the party I so deeply loved and served. Unfortunately, I found that many within the GOP have racist views and I apologize to the President for my opposition to his speech last year and my efforts to placate the extremists who dominate our Party today. My children and I look forward to the President’s speech.”

Jim Greer

If Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel then Racism is the last refuge of the sanctimonious.

There are racists at the highest level of Obama’s administration. How else to explain Holder’s decision on the New Black Panther’s voter indimidation?

Greer should be right shamed of himself and someone ought open up a can of whupass on that boy.

Well Greer I see a lot of racism in the Democratic Party. I could start with their unwavering support for abortion. I could start with their support of a government run education system that continually fails Black children. I could start with their love of higher taxes. Call me a cynic but I believe Black people who start businesses should be able to keep the fruits of their labor and spend that money as they see fit (long as it is legal). I could start with their social policies that have pushed the idea of Government as parent. I wonder when the Endangered Species Act is going to list Black fathers? I mean fathers married to the mothers. Not baby daddys. I could start with their love of gun control. Heck law abiding citizens black or white who live in high crime areas should have waivers allowing them to buy guns without any waiting period. Give them the means to defend themselves and their property. Deputize the lot of them and let them clean up and take back their communities.

But since I am Republican I guess it follows I must be the racist.
