Rush Limbaugh today stated on his radio show that Rep. Mike Castle (R-DE) voted in favor of House Resolution 1258 on June 11, 2008.

What was "On Motion to Refer: H RES 1258 The Kucinich Privilege Resolution"?

Answer: "Impeaching George W. Bush, President of the United States, of high crimes and misdemeanors"

24 Republicans voted with the Democrat majority and that did include Rep. Mike Castle (R-DE).

We’re all at liberty to vote whom we like, but if you identify yourself as a conservative, yet support Castle, I must say that I question your understanding of Conservative priniciples, or, at the very least, your sincerity.

Castle is to a Democrat in Republican clothing, if you will.

"Even Obama would have been smart enough to vote "present." "

Peter King voted FOR IT. Peter King. You don't vote "present", if you want to make sure the bill dies in committee, do you?

This is painfully stupid that someone would make this claim.

If King - and unapologetic supporter of the Iraq War and other measures on the WOT - had voted to "impeach Bush"

This is how procedural shenanigans get done in both houses. The leadership gives the marching orders to specific Congressman to perhaps vote in an unorthodox way to make sure bill die in committee. It happens ALL THE TIME.

It's amazing how obtuse some people can be about the legislative process, especially considering they're posting on a political chat-board.

Castle was one of only 24 Republicans to vote for this?

When Republicans were the majority in the House...so there were maybe over 130 Repubs who did NOT vote for this silly thing?

We understand it was NOT a vote for impeachment but to assert that only Mike Castle was clever enough to push the thing aside to die a slow death insults us to high heaven.

It was a dumb vote and had Christine O’Donnell ever supported such a thing you’d be on here lambasting her to hell and back.

Dumb....it was dumb. And no stupid spin will ever make Mike Castle sound all wise and knowing about this.

"This is yet the biggest lie from the O’Donnell nutcases. The truth is that Castle voted to send the resolution to the Judiciary Committee to die a slow death."

If that was the truth, then why did 166 Republican's vote against HR 1258?

Not a single Democrat voted against the resolution.

What you are doing is defending a man who voted with House Democrats to pass along an Bush impeachment bill and voted against his own 166 House Republican brothers.

So are you saying the other 166 Republicans who voted against it were actually voting to keep it alive, and the Democrats voted for it were actually voting to kill the bill?

Give them time and the Castle defenders will be on here telling you how each and every dumb vote by Castle was all wise and all-knowing.

Sit back and enjoy.

Man you’re really making the Castle defenders work for their admiration of the mighty RINO.

But give them time, they’ll have reasons why these votes are so wonderful.

"And... you should refrain from personal attacks on people have present facts not opinion."

No one made a personal attack. But, if someone makes a moronic comment or posting about plainly simple legislative practices, I'm going to call them out.

To claim that Castle "supported Bush Impeachment Investigation", is facially absurd. Beyond stupid. If you take that "personally", that's your problem, not mine.

That’s what he’s saying. The 166 Republicans who voted AGAINST this thing were the dummies.

Mike Castle, mighty, mighty Mike Castle, was all knowing and all wise.

As the commenter pees upon our feet and tells us it’s raining.

Heh.

Again with the childish insults, but facts are facts.

Mike Castle (R-DE) voted for HR1258 with the Democrats while the entire 166 remaining group of 166 House Republican’s voted against it.

Explain that.

You can’t, you are supporting a man who votes with Democrats.

Any objective observer can see that Conservatives go after any commie-lib and any Rs who votes with them. Very reasonable.

But Rinos ONLY go after Conservatives...no liberals.
