'2010 is gone for Democrats'

2010 Is ‘Gone,’ Says Big-Time Dem

“He cannot save 2010,” the big-time Democrat is saying of Barack Obama. “It is gone. He must now concentrate on saving 2012. But the biggest fear of some of those close to him is that he might not really want to go on in 2012, that he might not really care.”

In my experience, the big-time Democrat has hardly ever been wrong. He does not dislike President Obama. On the contrary, like most big-time Democrats, he worked hard for his election in 2008 and would much rather see Democrats hold onto Congress this Nov. 2 than lose.

He just doesn’t think it’s going to happen. A few months ago, he told me Democrats could win the House in a squeaker and also retain the Senate. We talked again a few days ago, and things had changed.

“There is going to be a total wipeout, and it is totally going to be in Obama’s lap,” he said. “He should drop plans for Congress and plan for Nov. 3 and what he does next.”

The big-time Democrat appreciates the unfairness of this. We always go around saying, “all politics is local,” until it comes to the midterm elections, when politics becomes a national referendum on the sitting president.

David Plouffe, Obama’s campaign manager in 2008, said on “Meet the Press With David Gregory” on Sept. 5 that “our House candidates are running great localized campaigns, really focusing on turnout and making that a choice between two individuals.”

In other words, Democrats can do great as long as the election is not about Obama.

I was of the opinion not so long ago that there was no way Obama wouldn’t run again in 2012. Now I’m beginning to have my doubts.

If Hillary leaves his cabinet by the end of January that will signal to me that she knows what’s coming. I honestly don’t believe she would run for president if Obama is planning to try for re-election.

I’m sure they would love to impart a false sense of security into the opposition. Don’t be fooled, patriots.

As for 2012, I expect Soros to fund an “independent” candidate and attempt a Clintonian plurality win for Baraq.
Baraq will pull 38-40% of the votes no matter what.

Hasn’t that been obvious from the beginning of this nightmare.

If only one state requires him to show a birth certificate, he’ll push the eject button. As it is, I see Hillary challenging him (she’s not getting any younger), which is good news for the Republicans, because blacks will stay home in droves if she beats him.

“When I interviewed Obama in the Oval Office on June 11, he said he was going to go around the country and remind voters that Democrats “didn’t create this mess.”

“I mean, they’ve got an incredible record to run on, and I’m very proud of what they’ve done,” he said. “And when you contrast that with what the previous Republican-controlled Congress had done, that’s a pretty favorable comparison to make for Democrats.”

So then, Mr. President, why aren’t your democrat congressmen touting the great accomplishments of health care reform, financial reform and the “stimulus.” How come they are running away from their votes on all these “great accomplishments?”

It’s going to be a landslide. No spin will stop it.

Good luck with that lie.

I’m sure that might be a strategy within the opposition. I know one thing though, and I am sure I am not alone on this, but I am so MAD at the current Congress that I will vote no matter what the perceived outcome would be.

I’m optimistic, but not very confident about it being a landslide. We can’t count our chicken before they are hatched. The election is still in seven weeks, which is very long in politics.

Every Republican congressional candidate with an IQ above 85 (which certainly excludes some of them) will nationalize their race and tie their Dim opponent to Nobama, Pelosi, and Reid.

Most of those who do will be taking a seat in the next Congress. Those who don’t will just have to hope the general anti-DC surge will carry them to victory.

Obama is driving the voters away from the Democrats and toward the Republicans as fast as he can. He can not do anything right.
