So he’s saying that if other religions want equal rights they must go on violent, murderous rampages every time their sensibilities are offended.
To: kristinn
So Justice Breyer is confirming that Muslims are barbarians and will act accordingly.
Crying "Fire!" in a crowded theater would possibly result in people stampeding to safety because they fear for their lives.
In the case of a Koran burning, Breyer's statement seems to assume that the primitive behavior of Muslims would cause them to trample to death the Koran burners.
One is an example of self-preservation, the other is an example of murder.

Maybe the Supreme Court could ban hijacking airplanes and slamming them into the World Trade Center.

The lines are being drawn. Here we see clearly who is the enemy. When the time comes, we will know exactly who to punish.

This means that if he is "open" to this....
...he will be "open" to anything.
"Justice" Breyer is a fool....

This could be just the first of many special rights to come for Muslims in America. What do you suppose will be next?

But he did rule that burning the US flag was constitutionally protected free speech, but burning the cross was not.

I suspect that Obama is going to use this incident as a pretext for signing onto the UN convention that essentially prohibits criticism of Islam. I think he would get enormous support from the left for doing this, and sadly, I’m not sure we have enough people on the Supreme Court who would assert the primacy of our law (several of the justices are open to foreign international law being imposed on us) or the primacy of our rights to be able to prevent this.
I am quite honestly worried about this.

So what Breyer is saying is that Islam is such a violent religion and that Muslims are so inherently violent and on the edge of rioting and killing people that to burn a Koran is an inherently dangerous act which will undoubtedly trigger all these Religion of Peace people into killing every American they see?
If America can ban the burning of the Koran because Muslims are so inherently violent, then clearly American can ban any Muslim from entering this country.
I guess you could kill two birds with one stone by setting fire to a Koran in a theater crowded with Muslims. They would all trample themselves to death trying to kill you.

Fine! Let’s burn ALL the Qurans now before it becomes illegal. (but how to find them?)
Find all radical muslims, set them on fire, and follow to the Quran stash.
May their 72 virgins be barded in bacon.

If Islam is such a volatile and violent religion, that Americans exercising their constitutional rights, without harming anybody, would provoke its adherents to commit wanton acts of murder and violence, against innocent people, then it is ISLAM that should be banned.
If Islam is a religion worthy of 1st Amendment protection, its members must be expected to behave in a civilized manner, even in the face of insults to their faith, just like Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, Pagans, Wiccans, and even Satanists are expected to do.

Ban the burning of the Holy Bible in Afghanistan..If our service men ans women can't read their Bible or even have a Bible in these countries. We are fighting for then lets come home..If these Muslims have a problem of our free speech then let them go back where they came from..This is only going to make more people burn anything Muslim and that includes the Filthy Koran..

This would be favoring one religion over others, and thus unconstitutional. They would have to ban the burning of ALL religious symbols — and throw in national symbols, like the flag, for good measure.
