Sharron Angle seeks a push from Sarah Palin

GOP challenger hoping Tea Party darling will counter presidential trump card played by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

The campaign of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle is preparing to announce an endorsement from conservative darling Sarah Palin, who, it hopes, will motivate the Republican base and turn out voters.

Although Angle’s campaign has actively pursued the former Alaska governor’s endorsement, the effect of Palin’s seal of approval remains an open question in a race with so few undecided voters.

Republican operatives acknowledged that Palin is a polarizing figure unlikely to sway independent voters, who are key to the race, or persuade new voters to join Angle’s camp. But a visit by her to the state could motivate volunteers and help get Angle’s much-needed base to the polls.

This statement alone should tell you everything you need to know about the character and intelligence of those "operatives". Unlikely to sway... I am at a loss for any retort. I will just have to save it all up for November 3rd and let'em have it then.

“Republican” peratives, no less. But, the article goes onto quote a Leftie professor who admits that she’s a much bigger draw than Obama and that she wil help Angle.

I’m telling ya, it’s always those idiots supposedly on our side that turn out to be the weak sisters. They don’t know how to talk to the media. No wonder Sharron is not ahead by double digits.

Exactly, and I still can’t get over the stupid “R” operatives saying something that. Amateurs or Reid moles. Were I Sharron’s campaign manager, those operatives would have been fired immediately.

I think it most likely that, if SP is seriously a contender for POTUS in '12, that she will at least make campaign visits to every contest where a Dim is still in a competitive race,

Further, she will likely make several visits on behalf of those she endorsed, and could well be the deciding factor in more than a few races nationwide. Then, it will be at least a year of trash-talk from the LSM where they will try to sway they (likely) RINO controlled GOP to pick another McShame as the candidate.

Just my considered opinion, but if she is successful this November, she will definately establish herself as the 8000# mama grizzly/hockey-mom-pit-bull-with-lipstick that will be another Ronald Reagan for eight years.

Ever the truth of every conflict. None have fallen to outside forces, without the aid of those within the very walls.

First of all, anyone who comes down on one side of an issue is polarizing so I assume these "operatives" are moderates and have no core beliefs.

The second sentence is the key. Palin doesn't have to sway undecided voters. The purpose of her visit would be to excite decided Angle voters to talk her up to others and get them to also vote for her. Excitement is contagious(and powerful). Anyone believe Reid's supporters are excited?

I think you’re right on all counts. She’s completely focused on winning in November and she’ll campaign at least once for all her endorsed candidates throughout the USA. Then on November 23, her new book debuts, so I’m sure she will go on a book tour.

Bump, that’s right and our side sure has a lot of that happening. At least it seems so to me.

LOL. Good point. No, Reid's supporters are not excited. They're likely bused-in by the unions.

In the latter days, even the elect shall be deceived... All hands, brace for impact. It is going to get bumpier if we make the kind of headway I think we are about to make this fall.

Palin ought to be worth a 2-3% bump in the polls to Angle. It energizes the base and lends credibility to Angle that the GOP’s VP candidate would appear on the same stage with her.

Angle has needed this endorsement for some time.

If we had fewer such “operatives” our party and our country would be in much better shape.

What I want to know is who pays these “operatives” and how much do they make?
