Republicans Are Blowing Their Best Chance to Beat Liberalism

"RUSH: An amazing thing is happening in Delaware. Christine O'Donnell is three points ahead of Mike Castle. I was at a dinner party Saturday night with a lot of people. We're sitting at a circular table. It must have been 14 or 15 people. And the host went around the table to say, "One being we're in great shape and ten means the end of America, where would you put America on a scale of one to ten? Ten being finished; one being fat city." And the host gave a very famous name, somebody he respects, who thinks that we're at an eight. The table seemed shocked. So people around the table explained where they thought the country was. And, of course, it came to me. And I said, "Eight, six, whatever... If it were eight I'd probably hang it up and go to New Zealand," you know, what I always say here. I said, "The thing that concerns me the most is that we are, the Republicans are, blowing the single greatest opportunity we have ever had to blow liberalism out of the water forever and to establish a party that can roll back big government, intrusive government, and fix this once and for all. I don't know why we don't learn from the eighties. I don't know why people do not learn that liberalism fails and is misery every time it's tried."

But I'm just going to tell you a Senate full of Mike Castles is not gonna get us anywhere. It's gonna get a bunch of Republicans their chairmanships on the committee but it's not going to do anything to reverse Obamaism. Not one thing. If that's our majority with a bunch of Mike Castles there, we're in trouble." I was the only one at the table who thought this. Yeah. And this was a table of Republican conservatives.

Rush was on fire today.

When you hear anyone say the rats are just like the pubes no difference. They are not far fromm the truth. They are so enravled in each others scams and schemes that they are just as much the problem. Have you noticed that many pubes like Snowe, linsey, mcclain and bloomberg are really rats in sheeps clothing. The GOP has the cancer to.

It’s not a Republican job, and must not be. It is a job reserved to all citizens.

Wish I could have listened to Rush - I love it when he give the GOP elites a good tongue lashing. Here's just one of Michelle Malkin's quotes on Castle from another thread that I found VERY interesting....

And he (Castle) is the co-founder of the George Soros-tied Republican Main Street Partnership — which, as I reported in 2005, successfully pressured the House GOP majority to cave in to enviros on the ANWR drilling ban.

The Republican Main Street Partnership PAC supports ACORN-friendly, Big Labor-backing, tax-and-spend, abortion radicals in GOP clothing like Dede Scozzafava.

This isn’t “Main Street.” This is the road to progressive hell. We already have one too many shady Soros Republicans in the Senate — and John McCain doesn’t need any more company.

We have been finished as a nation for quite some time.It isn’t just liberalism that must die, but socialism,, communism, progressive religions, Islam etc.. Since Roosevelt we have allowed progressives to take over every major institution and to infect every facet of society. One election is not going to roll back anything, only revolutions change things in major ways and unless we have one we are finished just as the Romans were.

Part of the problem is liberal vs conservative and part of the problem is “belt-way koolaid”;i.e., the belief that those within the beltway are destined to lead the rest of us.

The coalition of RINOs and left-wing Democrats got us to where we are today. I don’t mean just recently, but over the last century. We need more Representative and Senators who believed what the Founders believed. Castle may be better than a Democrat, but that will only put us on the slow road to hell. We need true conservatives (if you want to call them that).

The GELDING Oligarchy Poodles will lick Pelosi’s boots. It’s time for a third party and some guillotines to get the bankrupt-ors in Congress’s minds right.

We are finally taking over the Republican party and so you want us to stop, and form yet another of the "third parties"?

There are already about 49 "third parties", if you want to drop out of the game, then why don't you join one of them and disappear into irrelevance.

Among columnists and major bloggers, conservative enemy #1 has to be Jim Geraghty. He has become hell-bent on dragging Christine O’Donnell down at all costs, completely unhinged. If you read one of his O’Donnell posts, it reads like the Democratic Underground.

Sure, it’s one thing to say, “Candidate So-and-so has many contreversies the Democrats would love to exploit.” It’s another thing to pick up and extrapolate on assertions from lefties beyond what the lefties would even dare print, as if it were fact.

The reports of our decease as a nation have been greatly exaggerated. We have many enemies, and we are facing our own political Helm’s Deep, to be sure. But our Founders anticipated much of what we are now experiencing, and the electoral process is more robust than you may imagine. In fact, elections were designed as a substitute for violent revolution. They allow us to experiment, to make bad mistakes, to learn, and to recover our way, all without resort to the chaos, and loss, of bloodshed. Genius. Will it always work. Hard to say. Will it work this November? It might. Does it have a better chance of turning things around than, what, a few guys with hunting rifles? I’m betting on it.

I’m keeping a link to this transcript handy, for the next time I get into it with a Palin-basher here in FR. (Someone should tell Rush, it’s not just dems and RINOs who bash Palin.)

We have seen this time and time and time again. As long as the American people continue to place blind faith in the ballot box and the irretrievably broken two-party system, we will continue the slide into socialism, redistributionism, the destruction of the capitalist base, the destruction of the American middle class, and the ascendancy of a one-world-order existence of slavery and tyranny the elites have planned for us, after they have destroyed the Constitution and disarmed the American people.

The ballot box is the myth and farce the globalists in Washington have foisted on the American people to tame them into submission. It’s not business as usual anymore.

I’m dismayed by the number of otherwise sentient people who naively persist in the myth that going to the polls in November and pulling a lever is going to magically reverse the effect of the massive poisoning of this country’s political, economic, and educational systems that have recently taken place.

It doesn’t matter who is elected anymore. Look at the record. When they get to Washington they all drink the Kool-Aid, and are co-opted by the elitist mentality of the club they have just joined. The constituency back home no longer exists.

There are no conservative Republicans who will stand up against the Democrat destruction machine. Four Republicans just recently joined WITH Democrats to fend off an attempt by Republicans to filibuster the Senate Finance bill. The two-party system no longer works for those who care to look beyond the slick graphics and state campaign rhetoric. And we now have an electorate whose collective minds are closed to processing new information.

In talking with people, I am seeing something I have never seen before—a palpable fear of even just hearing new information that might challenge or threaten old beliefs. People no longer seem to be able to trust themselves to process or analyze information without feeling threatened by it. It’s like just the listening or processing function has become a tremendous threat to personal equilibrium. I have had people go to great lengths in conversations to avoid having to hear facts or data they may not have been aware of.

I think this is a result of the tremendous effort of the left wing bureaucracy in our educational system over the years to eliminate the development of critical thinking skills in the American populace. And it appears the strategy has worked.

Just the fact that leftist radicals are so desperately attacking O'Donnell should raise questions. Seriously, their pathetic propaganda spokesmen need to realize that their ‘propaganda’ is splashing back like an attack of diahreaha.

What all of these “fat cats” and old line republicans don’t seem to grasp is that without the Tea Party, started by a TV talker, but nutured by middle America, there would be no surge in the Republican vote opportunity.
