It's a multi-billion dollar industry with over 50 million performed since R vs. W at a cost of about $500 each and the doctor performing them like on an assembly line. For the woman it's a way to slip out of responsibility for ones actions and behavior by not being a mother and possibly not even having family and friends know what her behavior was. The only true victim in this case is the baby, for it had no choice in this matter.
