Immigration issues, including questions about who should have U.S. citizenship, have hurt President Obama's standing with voters, according to the latest Quinnipiac University national poll.
The poll, carried out during the first week in September, found that respondents had a strong anti-immigrant tilt, favoring, by 68% to 24%, stricter enforcement of immigration laws rather than integrating illegal immigrants into society and, by 48% to 45%, an end to the constitutionally guaranteed practice of granting U.S. citizenship to children born of illegal immigrants.

Its amazing how many on the Left actually favor stronger illegal immigration laws. No matter how many “Boo-Hoo The Poor Illegals” stories run in the LA Times, the letters to the editor are ALWAYS massively against them.

How about a correct statement instead: “an end to the harmful misinterpretation of the 14th amendment that has unfortunately allowed illegal anchor babies to be considered citizens when in fact they are as illegal as their padres and madres”.
The reality is that their parents never had the right to give US citizenship in the first place. It is an abomination to feed, clothe, house and provide medical and education for invaders while neglecting our own.

There aren’t a whole lot of issues that are helping Obama other than “diversity”. He was elected to be a black occupant of our White House but everything else is above his paygrade.

Bingo. Now they have obviously turned to calling us ‘Islamophobes’ and trying to stir up the Muslims in recent weeks over the ground zero mosque. It was also the Obama administration that racheted this whole thing up another notch by calling attention to the lone preacher with 30 followers that was going to burn the Koran. Then Obama mentions that he is being treated like ‘a dog’ by his critics in a major speech(something else to stir up Muslim animus). One might wonder if Obama is trying to ‘stir up a terrorist attack’ on his political foes at this point. Sound far fetched? I don’t put anything past this man anymore. I think he is sick in the head and heart.
