I doubt he's truly banned for life. I think this was just something the cops told him.
There's a long history of foreigners who were critical of American leaders and policies yet still received visas to travel here. There's a list of actions that can get someone denied a visa. I don't think calling the President a prick is one of them.
The State Department can ban any foreigner. So basically it’s only valid as long as Obama, or an Obama-loving liberal, is in power. Later presidents can reverse this with a word.
It's possible if we have a President-for-life, like that other banana republic Haiti.
