From Erika Bolstad in Washington D.C. -- Sen. Lisa Murkowski won't be in Washington today as Congress returns from its August recess, her spokesman Mike Brumas said. The Senate is expected to take a vote this afternoon or evening on a federal judicial nominee, but she will miss it. Murkowski, who was defeated in the Aug. 24 GOP primary by fellow Republican Joe Miller, is reportedly still mulling a write-in candidacy in the general election. Brumas said her office isn't sure when she'll return to Washington, and they don't know what her schedule will be the rest of the week, either.

Hissy fit
So, does that mean we don’t have to pay the twit? lol
So she thinks that Senate seat belongs to her and her family? Is she related to the Kennedys?

Murkowski can make a bundle as a lobbyist. It’s her best option, particularly if the pubs take the Senate.
Way to go Murkowski! People are PO’d at politicians for not doing their elected jobs, and you are not doing your job! That’ll drum up some support for you real quick. Mm-hm.
It’s not like she’s busy
Still not representing the AK People.
I thought Alaska had a “sore loser” law that prevented someone from running as an independent in a race they had lost a primary for? Is that wrong?
I guess the paychecks still hit the direct deposit till January no matter what?
She’s probably busy consolidating and stashing away her RINO earnings into hidden places. JMHO
Im not reading that much into this.
She is obviously trying to decide if she has a political future with the GOP and is prolly talking to any number of power brokers and networked friends.
If she believes that she has a future in any capacity, even on K street, then she will not run.
The GOP will strip her of seniority, assignments, and other perks if she goes independent plus that would in all probability poison any chance of her returning.
If she thinks that her future with the pubs is over, then she will do whatever she feels is in her best interests to do.
I think that law just means the deadline has passed to be added as a line on the ballot. Thus, her only options would be to get another party that’s already qualified for the ballot to substitute her in as their candidate—or to attempt a write-in.
That's correct. She cannot run as an independent after losing the GOP primary. However she can run as a write-in.
Another Charlie Crist Rhino getting ready to stabb us in the back!!!!
It’s a shame, but being called “Senator” must be so intoxicating that these turds will do almost anything to retain it, not to mention the power that accrues.
