Government doesn’t like independent people

This is the fight in a nutshell, and people need to become more aware of this.
I would substitute “ruling class” for “government”, but the point still stands.

In Pennsyltucky they have areas called Agricultural Security Areas which were created for that exact reason.

Yes and Mozart makes music with too many notes. /sarcasm

LOL. We use that all the time at work when managers are having problems understanding the technical details about what they have decreed shall be done.

That caught my eye as well.

Is this a garden or a truck farm? - sounds like a business thus a truck farm.

But since I don’t live in GA (and doubt I ever would) I’m sure those folks can sort it all out on thier own...

Pitchforks.
Torches.
Lotsa rope.
Tree limbs (lamposts will do).
Some assembly required.

Silly man. He really thought that it was “his land.” Poor deluded individual.
Not any more. There is no private property any more. Oh, I know, you still have to pay the taxes and shovel the sidewalks, but you don’t really own it. Not when the government tells you what to do on “your property.”

Plank 1 in the communist manifesto - eliminate private property.

Stop maligning zucchinis. I planted them 3 times this spring and didn’t get a single one to grow. I dug up the ground and found the seeds gone. I’m guessing that the birds took them. :( I’ll plant them deeper next year.

I couldn’t even find any at the nursery that were already started, so I put in watermelons instead.

In my fantasy, I see us all starving to death under Obama and local government fascist control regulations.

Hungry members of the De Kalb zoning commission and their emaciated families come knocking on this farmer guy's door, begging for a scrap of food.

He gives them all they had allowed him to grow, one zucchini.

The story at the link ends: When he moved here and I found out what he was doing I said, ‘Steve, you’re the best thing that ever happened to Cimarron Drive.' And I still say that, said neighbor Britt Fayssoux.

I think that just about sums it up. Case dismissed. County guilty.

You have a lake association? That sounds like a go nowhere bureaucrat job.

This guy and anyone else who has a vegetable garden are in direct violation of the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887 and the National Recovery Act of 1933. Round them up and confiscate their land. After their education in our internment camps, they will be good obedient farmers on the BIG FARM. Next we must go after all those law breakers who cook their own meals!

Not much of a lake association. Less than 3 dozen lakefront property owners who pay for weed erradication.

That part of the movie was such a combination of male ego and government’s narrow thinking. I have used it few times when someone was trying to piss on their weak kingdom.

Three or four years ago in Bucks County (a RINO Republick ) a farmer wanted to build a shed on his land. He had to buy a ‘disturbing the earth’ (or land?) permit.

A nationwide compilation of local government absurdities would be helpful. A clearer picture of the depth of political tyranny might be found.

In Washington, DC friends of mine have had there houses retroactively property taxed as much as 3 years because of a newly instituted tax on vacant property that is SIX times the regular property tax. Since when can’t a person leave their house empty for a while so long as they keep in clean, painted and mowed??
