Crazy? I'll give you crazy . . .
Last Friday Mika Brzezinski and Morning Joe engaged in some strange and possibly unprecedented TV "journalism." They invited Terry Jones—the potentially Koran-burning pastor—on the show via live feed, gave former Newsweek editor Jon Meachem the chance to lecture him about Christianity and implore him not to proceed with his plan . . . then summarily cut the feed without giving Jones the chance to say word one in response.
"We don't really need to hear anything else" declared Mika, as she shut down the pastor's microphone.
A number of bloggers, including NB's own Matt Hadro and me, noted and criticized Mika's bizarre move. But there was Joe Scarborough on the show today, mockingly writing off Mika's critics as "crazy people."

Joe and Mika led off their second hour this morning with another rant about Newt Gingrich being crazy and spouting off all this 'Obama anti-colonial nonsense'. Typical of Joe, he called Newt crazy, and seemed to try to equate Newt with being a different kind of 'birther'. Joe repeatedly brought up the mosque/Nazi comments Newt made (using no context of course) and then equated Newt's comments (in which he specifically referenced the D'Souza article I posted last week and said would be HUGE) with those of a crazy man.
Knowing that Morning Joe and Mika get on air text messages from the White House staff, I have no doubt that over the weekend the White House was made aware of both the D'Souza article and Newt's comments about it. They have decided to use Newt's comments without referencing the D'Souza article as a way of discrediting the idea before it gains traction. The Forbes COVER article by D'Souza is for the Sept 27th issue so I do not think the hard copy has even hit the newstands yet.
The White House is obviously very nervous about the D'Souza story gaining traction and is using their media mouthpieces at Morning Joe in an attempt to use the Newt comments to quash the storyline before it can become widespread in the public.
In the age of the internet it is impossible to quash these stories, and watch for the D'Souza article to spark the next media fire, with the liberal MSM'ers equating any who take D'Souza's theories seriously with the 'birthers'. Unfortunately for the MSM, anyone who reads D'Souza's article will come away knowing in their heart D'Souza is right about Obama, and that is a scary thing for our country.
Joe has no job if mega-liberal MWNBC fired him. So, he will always go with Mika.

I saw Mika’s antics last week. I was not surprised, that’s how it’s done by communists. Communists embrace “free speech and expression” as long as it’s approved. If an individual, or a group, goes against what’s approved, they are shut down, and likely punished.
We can see the frustration from the Obama White Hut that the constitution has not yet been trampled enough to allow them to behave like true communists.

I read D’Souza’s article and it definitely has some merit. He does write with a style very critical of Obama and so the WH no doubt wants to squash it or marginalize it as some extremist nonsense. I think D’Souza is onto something. I do believe Obama wants to adopt the ideology of his father (and the polytheism universalism of his mother). One thing is certain; Obama is the anti-business president. It could be partly by incompetence but I think it’s by design. I really think he wants to recycle America by shredding it and then molding it into something different. I also think he is doing what he thinks is right, so in that sense I can’t blame him...but I can sure as hell fight against him. Our first job is to take the House and more of the Senate away from him in November. They are his guns.
The fact Morning Joe is already trying to discredit the theory by using Newt’s comments tells me the White House is terrified the public may actually read D’Souza’s article. Not good when the ‘sheeple’ decide to inform themselves and not just be force fed what they should think by the MSM.
It was plausible to me, but I'm no shrink. Wonder what Krauthammer thinks of it...?
