I once found some Army Recruiter paperwork from the 1980s, and it actually had this question on it:

Are you a homosexual? Y/N

Why can't we go back to days like that?

If a recruit told a lie during the application process, they could be subject to UCMJ.

Times were a heck of a lot simpler then.
