Rebuilding At Ground Zero Will Take Longer Than Construction Of Panama Canal

So how far along are we towards completing the Freedom Tower? Not far along as far as we can tell. Michelle Malkin asks the same question I’ve been wondering about for the last four or five years. Why is the Freedom Tower not done yet?

Malkin points to quite a few major construction projects here in the United States that took between 66 days and three years, the latter being Chicago’s Sears Tower, re-branded the Willis Tower. More perspective…

Lawyers.

Those guys down in Panama might have had to deal with all sorts of things but at least the no lawyers.

Rhetorical question, right?

Ten year hole in the ground right now. Ten more and it will be a 20 year hole in the ground, but we might have an Islamic Community Center in the mean time.

This is pathetic.

We built the Pentagon, the world's largest building at the time, in 18 months... in a swamp.

While I do not like the government messing in the private sector, if I were Bush, within a week, I'd have issued an Executive Order to rebuild both towers taller than the ones that were bombed (by Obomba's Muslim buddies).

One reason may be that there is little economic demand for the office space that will be in “freedom tower”. So the longer it takes to build, the less money will be lost operating it.

The office vacancy rate in NYC is around 13%.

Not much incentive to build more office space that will remain empty.

If you want to promise to lease 75% of the office space in the Freedom Tower, I am sure that it would get built quickly.

I would assume the “Contractors” are big Obama contributors who use union labor.

They will milk this project forever. I'd love to see the change orders after the contract was awarded.

Someone needs to investigate who the contractors are on this job and how they tie back into the Chicago Organizer.

Follow the Money! See who is getting the benefit of our tax dollars for being a BIG PAC DONOR!

You got it! There’s a lot of available office space just one PATH train stop away on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River too.

No unions involved in the Panama Canal would be my guess.

Just received this in an email. Sounds like a plan. Not very expensive.

In Spain at Seville - local people found a way to stop the construction of another mosque in their town.

They buried a Pig on the site, making sure this would be known by the local press.

The Islamic rules forbidding to erect a Mosque on “Pig soiled ground.”

The Muslims had to cancel the project.

No protests were needed by the local people ... and It worked !!!

Wow! That should have been done Saturday in front or in the ground in the area where the proposed GZ mosque is going to be built. Presto! No victory mosque!
