Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, who may have presidential aspirations, is apparently really frustrated with the president. The respected politician has taken criticism to a new level of insult, describing Mr. Obama as a "con" man who is "authentically dishonest."
Gingrich said, "This is a person who is fundamentally out of touch with how the world works, who happened to have played a wonderful con, as a result of which he is now president."

Can't imagine what would make Gingrich come to that conclusion (sarc).
It's high time Republicans start calling a spade a spade, and Obama a socialist, a con man, whose ACTIONS speak louder than words and proclaim him anti-American, anti-free-enterprise, working to undermine everything that made America great.

I certainly think that we should be totally upfront about the way we think our country is moving under the “leadership” of obammy.

I like Newt... unfortunately not electable due to past - but would sit nicely in a prominent advisory (CZAR) position in the next administration. Certainly better than the Communists that have invaded DC.
Thanks Newt. Just don’t take it back and be the waffler.

Gotta love the last line FTFA: "But claiming that Mr. Obama scammed or conned his way into office or is conducting the affairs of state under false pretenses rather than with some unfulfilled promises is a stretch, even for the Obama skeptics and potential competitors."
How is that a stretch? He ran as a "post-partisan centrist" and now is governing as a hard-left Democrat (being generous as to his place on the political spectrum) and acting as if everyone knew that's what he was. Isn't that exactly a con as to his election and false pretenses as to acting as if he was elected on a far-left mandate? What can you expect from the Dan Rather school of journalism at CBS.

Gingrich states the obvious. Now let him step aside in favor of other Republicans who have the courage to do the same.

I’m not Newt Gingrich’s biggest fan and I don’t see him as GOP presidential material in 2012 but I do respect his intelligence and, in this instance, his honesty. The left howls like banshees whenever Obama is called what he really is: a con man. Of course, he’s far worse than that in many respects but at least Newt had the guts to brave the inevitable fusillade of outrage and apoplexy he’ll be getting from the left by simply characterizing Barack Hussein Obama correctly. Frankly, apathetic Americans needed to hear this from someone other than Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. Now, they have.
To: SmartInsight
Newt Gingrich is correct. Hitler and those types came right out and told you what they were going to do but Obama never has.
