wow. what an absurd joke.
But that's the National Fraud League for ya. Basically, professional wrestling with some legitimacy.
Who?
That was the worst call I’ve seen in years.
Yes, I’m a Lions fan.
This poor team is cursed !!
I believe it was clearly stated.
Just act like you've been in the end zone before, and hand the ball to the official, son. A stupid, premature celebration, without fully understanding the rules cost your team a game.
It was confirmed by the official in the studio too. It may be a bad rule but its a rule.
did you see the bad call in that college game the other day?
They allowed a touchdown even though the player had thrown the ball down before crossing the goal line.
Oy vey....LOL~
And this whole time I though “both feet down with possession in the endzone” was a reception, regardless of whether you put the ball on the ground or handed it to a kid in the stands.
What about those who catch the ball in the endzone and then just drop it on the ground? That happens all the time... but touching it to the ground and leaving it there negates the TD?
They are the Detroit Lions....you expect...respect?
Stafford out too....they are cursed...so long as they are owned by WC Ford.
Been watching them for 50 years...same story year after year.....
I’m not a Lions fan (Raider fan here, ugly day, that’s another story), but that was a TD. No doubt about it.
That's the rule. You have to control the ball after hitting the ground on a reception even with your feet previously down. Just a stupid act by an undisciplined player more interested than celebrating for the sports center folks than finishing the job. Just an ongoing part of the Detroit curse.
You are right about Ford. Many retirees were in their first few grades of elementary school the last time the Lions played for the NFL championship (1957).
It is a rule I did not know before but those who know the rules called it and upheld it and a network expert confirmed it. When a team gets out-gained 463 to 168 and beaten on 1st downs 23 - 13, there are other problems.
Yep. I saw it. It’s fraud no doubt.
I also wouldn’t doubt the influence of Las Vegas forces in the NFL.
You think both the officials in the booth and the Fox empoyees were in on it?
Even the Refs against the lowly Lions!
I just watched that about 10 times. That should have been a touchdown. Both feet down, hand down down, hand down, inside the endzone - I can not believe this was not rules a touchdown.
I also have him on my fantasy team so I’m doubly pissed. And Stafford was one of my backups and now he is hurt - so I am even more upset.
Video???
It’s bread and circuses, don’t take it too hard.
