He thinks Americans have lost their resolve? He may change his mind after the November elections.

"When did we Americans lose our resolve?"

Somewhere around 1913. It's been getting dramatically weaker since 1929, though the Germans and Japanese helped to restore it for a while between 1941 and 1945, but it failed completely on 4 November 2008.

When did we - as Americans - lose our resolve?????

About mid-way through the Vietnam "war" (1965-66); and when being politically correct became the norm (80s??); and when the use of the hyphen (as in african - American) became proper; and when islam/muslim became known as a religion.

It's been pretty much downhill since then.

Poor people have more resolve than rich people. Karl Marx even noted that. This is why riots in ghettos are so common. People who have something to lose in an uprising are reluctant to join.

There is also the culture of violence, which is natural to a ghetto dweller and not so natural to a pampered scion of a billionaire (though exceptions exist in both cases.)

There is the education problem too. If children are told by teachers to obey authorities, they eventually get the message. It's not that difficult when schools are ran like prisons, and when school administrators are legally permitted to issue extrajudicial punishments with no right of appeal. Children graduate thoroughly deformed, trained to obey the authorities by reflex.

And of course there is that strategy of splitting the population into several warring factions and playing them against each other. Taxpayers vs. tax consumers, for example.

So even outside of the resolve, there is no unity of purpose. If everyone in the USA magically gets the resolve of Conan the Warrior, even then the fighting (political or physical) will break out first within the population, with government snickering on the sidelines and not interfering. The government will step in, with fresh forces, and rule whoever wins, only after the winner is sufficiently weakened. See divide and conquer.

Liberals choose to politicize the war so they could retake congress.

Illegals now do the resolving that Americans don’t want to do.

We lost our resolve, because a great deal of us lost our vision of the future.

We lost our vision of the future, because we forgot that America does well when it truly shines as the “City on a Hill”

When we forgot about how America can be the “City on a Hill”, which leads by example, we forgot about the fact that miraculous occurrences helped us win our independence, and falsely assume that our own strength wins the day.

When we falsely assume that our own strength wins the day, we forget that we are faced with numerous threats which we cannot win against by just our own strength, or just our own understanding, these threats are great, but we cannot make it through them without help, I admit that I am a religious person, and I believe that we really need God in the cases of radical islam rising, and we will be truly tested as to how well we believe in the power of Jesus Christ if we seek to live as he taught we should be living.

The U.S. citizens have no resolved to save this country. They are total cowards. The U.S. is made up of 300,000,000 chicken sh’its.

It is okay to send our military overseas to fight wars in foreign countries, wars we don’t care about. They are being killed and maimed every day.

No. There is not one U.S. civilian citizen who will fight for our own county within our boarders because they want someone else to do it for them while the rest of our military are being killed and maimed.

Today, the U.S. is a country of pansies.

I think the defining date was the election of LBJ in 1964..though it might have been when JFK stole the 1960s election from Nixon

somewhere in that time is when it really got rolling...all the spit of WWII and the Cold War faded

All kinds of answers to that question. Maybe 1947, when the War Dept. was renamed Defense, and we have been defensive and suffering multiple Stockholm syndromes ever since.

Adversity and hardship brings out the best in people, but properity brings out the worst. We owe Obama a ‘thank you’ for reminding mainstream America there is still evil in the world that wants desperately to destroy us.
