My favorite example was the Obama coin touted by Montel Williams. Price $19.95 plus shipping and handling got you the Obama Commemorative Coin Set. The Illinois state quarter, the Hawaii state quarter, the John F. Kennedy Presidential half dollar and the George Washington Presidential dollar coins. That’s a grand total of two dollars worth of currency.
They were standard US coins with Obama decals applied.

Now that you mention it, I haven’t seen those commemorative plates at Walgreens for a while. I’d imagine that the idiots that bought them have taken them down from the display shelf.
