Biggest problem the GOP faces is old leadership and leaders who are simply not conservative focused. Senate too. The party makes its own rules but it’s not going to be much fun if most of the current committee minority leaders are elevated. The GOP really needs to change who gets to be chosen in various leadership roles.
I meant the Senate and House party members make their own rules. At least that’s my understanding of it.
Yep, that is why on Nov 3 the real work begins for the Tea Party, getting Repubs to be Conservative.

Here’s an example of how the Blue Blood Ruling Class GOP works. It’s also how life itself works if you think about it.
so ole Mike Castle is hurting here in the swamps of Delaware when the fellow, who’s now over 70 and deserves his rightful ascension to the senatorial throne as is his right and no matter how the hell he voted against Delaware citizens....here’s an example. I got a million but here’s one to illustrate.
A guy named Ferris Wharton ran against Beau Biden for Delaware Attorney General. Now Beau Biden, at the time, was maybe thirteen years old or some such and Ferris Wharton had lots of experience.
But “BIDEN”...you got that name you’re gonna win.
As it is, Beau’s done an awful, awful job as AG....ask me about that pervert Pediatrician and how Beau almost botched that case. For a smile, ask how innocent me, sitting at home minding my own business, got involved in all this, involving a lady in my church, the local talk station and the survivors of the Haitian earthquake.
Heh.
Anyway....I happen to know Beau Biden...I bet you all think I lie but for some reason I always manage to end up being where stuff is happening and if I ain’t there, THEY CALL ME UP!
Beau’s a nice kid and he’ll make fun of his father to have you peeing yourself...but he’s a kid. Plus, very sadly, the poor guy had two small strokes this past year.
Which is why Beau isn’t running for Senator this time and which is why Joe and Mike got together and it could be a deal that Castle’s holding the seat for Beau without Beau needing to actually run or anything as now he’d probably lose cause we know his reputation and health issues at this point.
So Castle runs for Senator, then he retires...”more time with his family”...and the Dem Governor appoints Beau Biden to fill the seat.
That’s the rumor and by me it’s sure not far-fetched.
Another aside, Beau is running for reelection and the Blue Blood Ruling Class Delaware GOP is not running anyone against him!
Isn’t that interesting? The GOP couldn’t find one candidate to run against Beau....who’s really got a bad reputation and the health issue is certainly a factor. Remember Joe Biden’s had a couple of strokes.
Now Ferris Wharton was the guy who ran against Beau Biden the first time he ran and as expected, Delawarians, many of them transplants from surrounding states and the welfare mavens in Wilmington saw BIDEN and pulled the lever. Ferris Wharton was a much better candidate for the job.
After Beau won, by the way, Ferris Wharton really descended downhill....got picked up for drunk driving. A really nice guy....sad, he was heartbroken.
So yesterday the big announcement...”FERRIS WHARTON ENDORSES MIKE CASTLE!!!”

Just throwing it out there...you don’t suppose that maybe Wharton’s been promised Beau’s job when Beau leaves to take the Senator job after Castle leaves?
Believe me, oncit upon a time Ferris Wharton was VEERY Conservative...would never have endorsed Mike Castle. Never.
But I speculate. It’s what I do.
So Ferris Wharton sells his soul for a chance at what he likely thought was rightfully his.
It’s how politics works, ladies and gems....you can shout THROW THE BUMS OUT all you want.
It just ain’t that easy.
