I’ll bet he was talking about the FAIR Tax, but the reporter didn’t want to use the right name, so people would be unable to google it.
Calling the FAIR Tax a “sales tax” is one way Democrats try to scare people. They consistently call it a “sales tax” WITHOUT mentioning that the FAIR Tax plan also involves REPEAL of the 16th Amendment and the Income Tax, and the abolition of the IRS.
He was entertaining and perhaps useful before prison. His interview with Greta after his release put him outside even quirky politics. Tea Party and the right should have nothing to do with him. Let him find friends in the Cindy Sheehan/Code Pink faction of the left. Wonder whose bright idea it was to invite him in the first place.
There is no function of Gov’t that could ever possibly justify charging us a 25% markup for every purchase or exchange.
