Ten Words: a key to crushing the Democrats
myself | A rare vanity

Posted on 09/10/2010 7:45:01 PM PDT by Hugin

I apolagize for the vanity. I almost never post them, so I hope you will bear with me. I would apreciate any feedback.

It has long bothered me that the Demcrats get away with talking about the "Bush recession", which actually started in the fall of 08, the very end of GWB's term, and nearly two years after the Democrats took over Congress. Somehow the average person seems to think that the Republicans were "in charge" until Obama took office, despite the fact that budgets and spending is completely under the control of Congress. So far the career Republicans have been amazingly inept at conveying this to the average American.

Ideas, to be effective need to be hammered home repeatedly. The Democrats understand this and use phrases like "the Bush recession" remorselessly. Republicans need to start doing likewise. I suggest every Republican officholder and candidate begin every sentence reciting the woes facing our country with the following ten words:

"In the four years since the Democrats took over Congress..."

Say it enough and people will understand that this is the Pelosi/Reid Depression.

It’s a good line. It can’t be said frequently enough either.

Bingo! Why in the hell hasn't the GOP made this very simple and easy case. Hell, Obama himself was part of this Democrat majority since 2006! It was his parties policies since 2006 that drove the econ machine (car). It was DEMs raising of min wage, more regulations, fannie and freddie, etc, etc.

Why in the hell the GOP allows the false premise that it was the GOP economy in 2006 just continues to show me how pathetic the GOP is at PR or setting a correct premise.

Well, no one has put up any charts to show it, but I noticed that every single economic chart featured on this forum, shows it down climb beginning in late 2007. This is when Obama first seemed to have a likelihood of winning the primaries.

Then you see a sharper decline in March of 2008 when it seems very likely that Barack Hussein Obama would be nominated by the Democratic Party for president.

Can you see an extremely sharp decline starting in August of 2008 and accelerating in November of 2008 when he was actually elected and we could all see that the next United States president was going to be a radical extreme Marxist and near communist.

And then the economic news really takes a nosedive in January of 2009 when this horrible excuse for a president was actually put into office by the controllers standing behind the curtains behind him.

Is there anyone out there more skillful than me Who can add the necessary tags to the many financial and economic charts that have been posted?

I simply remind people that in the 8 years of the Bush administration, the average unemployment rate was 5.3%

That tends to cause them to pause and reflect. It also explains the “Miss Me Yet?” billboards if people are wondering why they exist.

A friend of mine who is a liberal Democrat was talking all about Bush and the problems that the Bush admin created, I interupted and said, well, the Democrats have controlled Congress for 4 years now.

She stopped talking. Conversation was over.

Say it enough and people will understand that this is the Pelosi/Reid/Senator Obama Depression.

He was a participant member of the party in charge.

Great line. That and replacing the words "American's wealthy" with "employers".

Do you think Boehner and McConnell will use these basic illustrations? Nah.
