In addition to making one poor endorsement, he's also not 100% perfect on guns or immigration, and is therefore "not a social conservative" (his solid views on abortion, traditional marriage, school vouchers, etc. don't count into the social conservative equation, of course).

Since merely doing the right thing 90% of the time is the threshold for RINOism, there is no doubt Christie is a RINO along with everyone else in the GOP. Ronald Reagan himself was a "RINO" under this definition, because he also endorsed several liberal Republicans (for example in 1976 he wanted Richard Schweiker to be his running mate, who was even worse than Castle)
