In Afghanistan we are fighting an un-uniformed moslem enemy. According to the Geneva convention, uniformed combatants can be shot like spies. Since Every moslem is the enemy it is highly likely that these "civilians" were in reality un-uniformed enemy combatants.

Kill them all and let God sort them out. If allah is god then they'll have no problems. If he's not (and he is not) then we just saved countless lives that these moslems would have murdered eventually.
