The pastor at the centre of the Koran-burning row has challenged a New York Imam to call off the building of a mosque at Ground Zero.
Pastor Terry Jones and his colleague Pastor K A Paul read out their telephone number live on television and said the Imam has just two hours to respond.
"It appear that the pastor has reconsidered his earlier deal over the New York mosque."

Hopefully preaching the gospel.
What an attention whore.
The Imam has nothing to gain by moving the mosque.
Let’s see if the Rev. goes thru with it.
I can’t go to the link, I get a message about an internal server error.
Well the nutjob got what he wanted. He’s the center of attention.
The reverend IS a reality show right now. This is his 72 hours of fame.
That's funny right there, I don't care who you are.
I saw the “other” Imam interviewed on CNN yesterday, and he said that there was a meeting set up in New York for Saturday. If he is saying something different now, then one of those two statements is a lie.
The Administration needs to stop this guy before he gets someone hurt. Send the FBI..APC’s..and SWAT teams to his church. Quick.
LOL
“Build the mosque at Neverland. “
It might be fitting, what with muzzies penchant for little boys.
I agree. It’s always we who have to be the “tolerant” ones, and no one will admit that the Muslims don’t see it as kindness but as weakness, and every capitulation only emboldens them to begin the next push of the boundaries. They’re already killing innocent people and have been for decades, the only appeasement they want is global caliphate. Do we give that to them, in order to “keep the peace”?

... send the guys with the net!
I’d like to burn a Koran.
HOWEVER . . .
I’ve been pondering, as a Christian and in light of scripture, just how Jesus and his true followers would handle this situation.
Old Testament faithful were certainly commanded to search and destroy and often punished when they didn’t. It is clear from scripture, both old and new, that Jehovah will tolerate no gods before him — or his Son.
However, the approach changed dramatically during and after Christ’s ministry. The Old Covenant was designed to keep a bloodline pure and a people faithful, even against their will, until He came.
With God on earth in the form of the Son, we see different tactics in dealing with the Enemy.
Jesus was downright polite in dealing with idolatrous Samaritans. He rebuked the apostles when they suggested calling down fire from heaven upon them. He was kind to the Syro-Phonecian woman — from the Baal-worshipping culture that produced Jezebel.
When Paul was in Athens on Mars Hill, looking at idols to false gods, he chose to teach rather than to destroy. Sorcerers and worshippers of Diana in Ephesus willingly burned their scrolls after conversion. The weapon that melted their hearts was the gospel, nothing violent.
Jesus warns in the Sermon on the Mount that we will be slandered and persecuted. He says to turn the other cheek.
He prays, as recorded in John’s gospel, “that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
Romans 13 argues eloquently to “leave room for God’s wrath” and not to take things into our own hands.
Perhaps the real problem is our lack of faith.
Perhaps they really would believe that God sent his Son if Christians, united, had enough faith to approach and teach rather than shrink in terror.
Perhaps we are to confront the muslim problem in America with scripture’s approach — weak in our eyes, dependent on Jehovah.
I would prefer to “pour burning coals on their heads” with Jesus’ approach rather than get in a physical firefight because we don’t believe His way will work.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida pastor Terry Jones, set to burn Islam’s holy book on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks, has been named spokesman for Kingford® Charcoal Lighter Fluid.
Kingford® chairman Bradleys Roadhouse said that “nobody in recent times has focused the public’s attention on grilling the way Pastor Jones has.”
One of the conditions for the deal, said to be worth seven figures, is that Pastor Jones must squirt some of the iconic lighter fluid on the Quran before he lights it. A Kingford® spokesman said that burning the Quran will be ”easy and odorless.”

It does sound like Jones has some unsavory affiliations, but I really, really like the turn this whole thing has taken. Initially I was convinced he was in this for notoriety and shock value which he has gained in spades. But now, he’s turned this whole GZM thing around and put the onus on that lying, threatening, terror supporting Islamist Rauf.
I don’t know if Jones is this smart or if everything just broke the right way for him. At any rate he’s doing something absolutely no one else has been able to accomplish and that’s expose these Islamists for the liars and frauds they are. Everyone else has been too busy cowering in the corner while rationalizing their Sharia compliance.
move the sob to mecca where it belongs... while we are at it move all mosques.
