The pastor at the centre of the Koran-burning row has challenged a New York Imam to call off the building of a mosque at Ground Zero.

Pastor Terry Jones and his colleague Pastor K A Paul read out their telephone number live on television and said the Imam has just two hours to respond.

"It appear that the pastor has reconsidered his earlier deal over the New York mosque."

Giving the pastor the benefit of the doubt, he’s holding a bad hand.

If the GZM people agree to move to another site, Islamist leaders will incite their people to commit acts of violence.

If the GSM people do not agree to relocate, then the pastor and his church will burn the Korans, and Islamist leaders will incite their people to commit acts of violence.

Gee, what’s an anti-Muslim pastor to do?

Look on the bright side. Pastor Jones’s words and actions are getting thousands of muzzies out into the streets to burn effigies, flags, etc.

It’s a break from their usual routine of sitting on their fat asses smoking from hookas, beating their wives senseless, and raping their 12 year old nieces.

Tanks have not arrived as of 15:24.

No worries -- at least until Gen Weasley Clark shows up.

From the death threats he has recieived from Muzzies, I would guess he’s dead no matter what he does now.

You can see the Imams are almost laughing at him. They are like the Mafia. They have a virtual contract on him. They now find him entertaining, like watching a deer before it gets hit.

We are watching Sharia law unfold.

You’ll know this is over when Reno lights up a cigar and they send the hearses in.

I always remember that free speech means having to hear nasty things, whether anyone agrees with them or not.

Agreed. Likewise, freedom of religion means having to tolerate sects with whom you vehemently disagree build their houses of worship along side yours.

I don’t like what this pastor is doing but I defend his right to do it.

I agree. I also am not too thrilled with the New York Imam, but I likewise defend his right to build his zoning-law compliant mosque on his property.

Dangit, I’m going to be at work for the next two hours, so I won’t get to go home and see the “Koranflagration Kountdown Klock” on the 24 hour news channels.

I don't find it a joke. Apparently someone told the pastor that if he called off burning the Qu'rans, the mosque would be moved. They lied so the deal's off.

I find it laughable that anyone would spend an ounce of energy countenancing such a "deal."

Muslims need to accept the fact that, in America, people have a right to insult their faith, just like they have a right to insult Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Hindus, and every other faith.

Likewise, people offended by the ground zero mosque need to get over the fact that getting your feelings hurt once in a while is just a part of life in a free society.

The best way to deal with provocateurs of all stipes, whether it's Imam Rauf or Pastor Jones, is simply to ignore them. Getting all worked up over their antics only empowers and emboldens them.

So some idiot burns a holy book. Another idiot decides to build a Mosque in lower Manhattan next to some strip clubs. Who cares? Let it go. Move on. It only becomes important if you make it so.

Yup. You just did a nice job illustrating the folly of letting fear of Islamist reaction dictate our behavior. We do what we want to do, and Islamists be damned.

The people that splatterd on the street 200 feet away might disagree if they could talk. Just a guess.

This isn't about feelings. It's about building a victory monument as they always do after a successful attack. It's about it being a headquarters for more attacks. It's about having a mosque only 5 blocks away already.

It has NOTHING to do with feelings and everything to do with defense and not surrendering.

I’m glad the pastor sis standing up to muslimes and their mosque that desecrates and spits on the graves of 2900 americans, somebody has to do it. Good for him.

And for those here stupid enough to condemn him, I ask what have you done? Yeah nothing, cowards.

Read the tagline
