Gillibrand hailed by Brady gun control group

ALBANY, N.Y. — New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand has been endorsed for election by a leading gun control group, two years after earning a top rating from the National Rifle Association.

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence notes that Gillibrand had been an NRA favorite when she was an upstate congresswoman in a Republican district. But the group says that in less than two years as an appointed U.S. senator, she has become a leader in what the Brady group calls sensible gun laws.

Gillibrand accepted the endorsement on Aug. 12, saying it reflects her opposition to illegal guns and her efforts to combat gun violence.

Polls show Gillibrand with wide leads over GOP candidates Bruce Blakeman, David Malpass and Joseph DioGuardi.

If you love leftist judges and leftist groups getting government funds and support for anti-gun unions and stuff.... then whatever.

“two years after earning a top rating from the National Rifle Association.”

I warned the NRA about this wench when she became senator. I received no answer.

Politics as usual - say anything to get elected, then, once you’re in Washington, pander, pander, pander.

And congress wonders why Americans hold them in such low esteem.

The NRA goes out of its way to support Dems because if they don’t, they risk being deemed a partisan political group, which would affect their tax-exempt status.

The reality is that the Dems are just anti-2nd Amendment in almost every case, and even those exceptions end up supporting anti-2A Dem leadership.

“I warned the NRA about this wench...”

Same here. I called the same day I received the orange postcard from NRA showing their endorsement. NRA was rude and I have now left them forever. GOA will be receiving my $$ and support from now on.

The exceptions seem to be the so called Blue Dog Democraps who claim to not be beholdin' to the antigun wing of their party. Well, their necks are on the chopping block now, too. let's see how vociferous they are about the anti gun agenda of folks like Gillibrand. The Blue Dogs dare to claim conservative status so lets see how hard they push back against the liberal agenda of their own party.

Gillibrand is the same individual who wrote in the Wall Street Journal how cap and trade will help Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan Chase. Upstate NY voters should be reminded of this on Election Day.

I don't know. I entered "Bruce Blakeman" "David Malpass" "Joseph DioGuardi" into Yahoo News along with serial entries of pro-life, prolife or abortion. I found nothing.

Here’s what I found:

Joseph DioGuardi - pro life

Malpass pro choice w/parental notification

“I searched using the question “Is David Malpass pro-life?” and turned up an article with the following information “his stances on some social issues are fairly moderate. He is pro-choice but says there should be no federal funding for abortions. He supports parental notification and is against late-term abortions. On the issue of gay marriage, Malpass says he only supports civil unions.”

blakeman http://www.examiner.com/independent-in-rochester/blakeman-another-clueless-republican-hypocrite

If you know any more, please let me know. Somebody told me that Blakeman wasn’t pro life, either, but I could not find it online, but found other info. in the above blakeman link.
