The small Florida church that has sparked global outrage with its plan to hold a Koran-burning event had its website pulled from the Internet on Thursday by its host.
Dan Goodgame, a spokesman for the San Antonio, Texas-based web hosting firm Rackspace, told AFP the evangelical Dove World Outreach Center church had, "violated the Offensive Content section of its Acceptable Use policy."

Goodgame said officials from the web hosting firm had spoken with Jones on Wednesday afternoon and informed him that he had until midnight to migrate to another site after complaints about "hate speech."
"It was a fairly short conversation in which we reminded him of the accepted use policy," Goodgame said. "He (Jones) said he intended to still post his anti-Islamic messages."

CHRISTIANS ARRESTED at Arab Festival
A trial date has been set for September 16th in District Court in Dearborn, Michigan with four Christians charged with breach of the peace after they tried to share their Christian faith to Muslims at the June 18th International Arab festival.
As the four were taken off to jail, many in the crowd shouted “Allah Akbar” as the four were placed in handcuffs. Robert Muise of the Thomas More Law Center says there is the very strong possibility that a federal Civil Rights case will be filed on behalf of the four Christians.
Muise also says, “It’s evident that the Dearborn Police Department was more interested in placating Muslims than obeying the U-S Constitution.”
State Representative Tom McMillin of Rochester Hills, Michigan has called on Michigan’s Attorney General Mike Cox to investigate the arrest of the Christians, who were exercising their First Amendment rights on public property.

trial is scheduled to begin today in Elmira, N.Y., and lawyers for the defendants say it will be a test of whether the First Amendment affirmations of freedom of speech and freedom of religion still are valid in the United States.
“Choosing to exercise your First Amendment rights in a public place is not a crime,” Joel Oster, senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund said. “The government has no right to arrest citizens for exercising their First Amendment rights in public.”
At issue is the arrest of several Christians at a “gay pride” event is Wisner Park in Elmira in 2007. Julian and Gloria Raven and several others entered the park to pray silently for the participants of the event celebrating homosexual behavior.

Ironic that such an unpatriotic, un-American company should be headquartered in San Antonio.
Since his website is gone, we can’t really tell. I don’t recall him inciting violence.
Perhaps they are not unpatriotic, but are merely cowardly and are simply quaking in their cowboy boots.

Will they close websites that call for murder of Jews and Christians? of course not.
That's true.
But Rackspace caused the church to rely on it for ISP service, then abruptly pulled the plug at a critical time. This action is an unfair business practice which has caused substantial damage to the church. Rackspace needs to spend less time leading unsuspecting customers to rely upon them and more time explaining in court why they shouldn't fork over a tidy contribution to the church!

Hmmm, seems like there are s substancial amount of Islamic and Communistic websites on this ISP.
Perhaps there is some arbitrary enforcement of the Code of Ethics that the ISP used to drop the Dove church. Wouldn’t break my heart if the Dove church started some lawsuits over discrinatory treatment - and go after the ISP’s tax license.
You’d think the ALCU would do this, because it seems like the Dove Church may have had their civil liberties violated - but then the ALCU uses this ISP.
