Jackson's wife, Charlene, made a 911 call around 1:15 a.m. Sunday as her unarmed husband faced down thugs armed with a gun and bats who showed up as partygoers started leaving his home in Rochdale.

I believed him, until I saw the wrap going from his elbow to his fingertips. That wrap is for show. Was every finger smashed? Was there no skin left on his arm from above the elbow to the end of every finger tip?

Even a band aide would be convincing to me, or a bruise. This is nothing more than a ‘fishing expedition’ to get a jury award - IMHO.

What he has on his hand and forearm is a “posterior mold.” It consist of a short arm plaster mold encircled by an ace wrap. Although it does look crude and amateurish, it is a common effective temporary splint for one or more metacarpal fractures. A low level resident or medical student likely put this one on.

Not to mention a police officer in his own home faced down intruders while unarmed. What's with that?

I find it credible at face value. 21 year old daughter, probably drinking involved, young bucks sniffing around, cops respond to a man-with-gun domestic disturbance call, upon arrival someone shouts out there’s a fight inside, cops go into survival mode. Larry chooses to fight back to a stupid cop move (did someone scream profiling yet?) and it escalates from there.

Not the same thing, but I tore a ligament in my wrist playing hockey... I ended up having a full-arm cast for 2+ months. My whole arm, thumb and most of my fingers needed to be immobilized so as to minimize movement of the bones and ligaments.

Brutal.

I'm sure this cop is experiencing some of the same hand/wrist/arm issues I had to go through in my recovery.

he should have identified himself as a cop then they wouldn't have treated him, his family and friends as regular citizens.

For somebody who was supposedly “hit everywhere” and choked, he has remarkably few bruises. Not saying the cops didn’t put their hands on him, but I think there’s some embellishment going on here. And the race card is out in full force.
