Carly Fiorina meeting with Tea Partiers in Marin -- no press allowed (just like Lindsey Graham)
The San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 2010-09-08 | Joe Garofoli

Just when we were wondering what -- if any role -- the Tea Party would play in statewide California races this fall we hear that US Senate candidate Carly Fiorina will be meeting with Tea Party grassrootsers and GOPers at noon Friday in Mill Valley at the Mill Valley Community Center.

Billed in the invite as "your opportunity to hear Carly speak and get your questions answered!" it's sponsored by the Bay Area Patriots and San Francisco Tea Party, the Marin GOP and Novato Republican Women, Federated.

We'd love to tell you about it, but it is billed as "open to the public -- closed to the press." What's up with that? Not very transparent, which is what the TP wants of government, no?

"It's a strategic planning session with the grassroots," TP organizer Sally Zelikovsky tells us.

I think Carly Fiorina running for office in California is different than Lindsey Graham in South Carolina. South Carolina is a far more Conservative state than California by far.

I'm not so sure we won't see a lot of 'foxhole conversions' by 2012...

Apparently, you’re too biased to read the article you posted or you wouldn’t have added your idiot comment to the title. LOL.

OMG! There are conservatives in Marin County?

I was born in San Rafael, lived in Marin City (I’m white.)lived in Novato and graduated from the College of Marin, in Kentfield. Nothing but rabid liberals and that was 40 years ago! To do more than fill a phone booth, with conservatives, in Marin is very impressive!

Yes, that's THE Sally Zelikovsky from Marin who Karl Rove gave a public shout-out to for her fine organizing work while Rove hawking his book in Lafayette a while back.

This is obviously NOT the Tea Party that I relate to. Bring back the Santelli wing -- jettison the Rove/NRSC win!
