Please don’t burn the Quran. Shredding or flushing are acceptable, however.

"Burning the Koran is wrong..."

There could be a silver lining in all this...burning the Koran might show these knuckleheads naysayers just how "peaceful" a religion Islam is.

The downside would be more attacks...but sadly, that is often what it takes to wake up some people...

If burning a koran is bad, then building a Ground Zero victory mosque/terrorist shrine is at least 3,000 times worse.

If we had burned a few copies of Mein Kampf, would the Nazis have become “inflamed”?

Romney, definitely not a free speech advocate. I never heard him complain about the Islamic destruction of bibles. Maybe he should check into the book of Morman and see how the Islamists receive the Angel Moroni.
I don’t really care if the Dove church wants to burn books. It’s a freedom of expression guaranteed under the Constitution. Just like Piss Jesus, except Dove Church is doing it without tax payer help.

A good op-ed on the subject at :http://plancksconstant.org/blog1/2010/09/burning_the_quran_is_a_good_thing.html

Burning the Koran is a good thing by Bernie Planck

Some people may complain that such an event will only to stir up a hornet’s nest of Muslim outrage and help extremist groups recruit more Jihadists.

Well, actually that’s a good thing for a number of reasons. Let me tell you why.

First of all, Taliban recruiters are already telling lies about America in order to persuade young gullible stupid Muslims to join them. Read the comments from my moderate Muslim readers who make ridiculous statements such as Americans have killed a million Iraqis and Afghanis and that we set dogs on Muslim inmates at Gitmo. It doesn’t matter what the truth is, there will be lies. I doubt this Quran burning will get any more press than the usual fabrications against us.

Second, for Muslims here in the US, it will be a lesson on freedom of expression. We are not Europe, and a simple display of Islamophobia is not yet a crime.

Third, Let Muslims know that we are not intimidated. Let all Ahmeds and Fatimas know that if they keep on provoking us with demands of accommodation, that there will be consequences.

And last: Let the nest be stirred - let every Muslim who is stirred to action join a Jihad now. Why should Jihadists come to the party in dribs and drabs? Let a million all join at once. What is better, to catch a cockroach here and there, from time to time, or to have all of them come out at one time so they they can be squashed once and for all?

I am opposed to burning books - but this is a political statement, and in that regard it is an expression of speech which is of course guaranteed by our Constitution. I would certainly defend with my life any attempt by our government to burn any book, the Quran included. But certainly, if someone needs to tell the world how evil and disgusting Islam is, then this is arguably the only book in the world worthy of a good toasting.

Let it burn. It will be the only time that the Quran shines a light unto the world.

As for Romney more reason he needs to stay in his RINO castle. He is not presidential and never was military material. Think MassCare or Massacre in Maas. Healthcare.

He is right. There is no need to lower ourselves to the level of the insane Islamist. Just because he has the right does it make his actions right? Just as the Muslims have the right to build the Ground Zero Mosque is it right to do so?

Anytime a Romney wants to go into the Combat Arms, he can actually, physically, really save a troops life with his own.

Seeing how this is sometimes called ‘The Long War’, there’s plenty of opportunity, if one was so patriotically inclined.

Yes, you should never burn a book that consists of some words that a lunatic claims God told him to write.

The Koran teaches hate, stoning, beheading, sodomy, rape, etc. The Bible teaches love, compassion, praying for ones enemies, the sanctity of marriage, etc. A REAL Christian would work to convert Muslims . . . except that Muslims who are converted are murdered by Muslims and those same Muslims then murder the Christians who convert Muslims. WHERE does this happen in Judeo-Christian society?

The Koran teaches that Islam MUST take over the entire world and be dominant. WHERE in the Bible do you find the equivalent of Sura [9.29] Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

The real question is this: is publicly burning the Koran legal?

We already know it’s legal to burn flags and Bibles.

Thanks for the FReepmail and Reminding me that Mitt Romney
HATES the US military, even though he LOVES his Quran and murderer-freeing judges.
Hmmmmmmm. Hmmmmmm. Hmmmmmm.

"National Guard Lt. Anthony Circosta poses in his backyard in Agawam, Mass., on June 9, 2007.
At left, his wife Danielle and daughter Kylie, 2, talk near the swing set. Circosta,
a decorated Iraq War veteran, seemed like an ideal candidate for a pardon from
then-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for the 29-year-old's boyhood conviction
for a BB gun shooting. Romney denied the pardon,
twice, despite the recommendation of the Governor's Council.

Probe: Mitt missed chance to keep Tavares jailed - Could have nixed killer’s early exit

Friday, December 28, 2007 - Boston Herald
"Former Gov. Mitt Romney’s administration failed to act on disciplinary recommendations
that would have kept ex-con killer Daniel Tavares locked up another year -
and behind bars at the time he was accused of killing a newlywed couple in Washington state."

"Despite Tavares’ long history of violence, the Romney-led Department of Correction
took no action on recommendations that he be stripped of “good time” because
of assaults on prison guards in 2003 and 2005, said sources familiar with a state probe into the case."

Thanks for the second FReepmail and Reminding me that Mitt Romney
has a history of faking endorsements:

"Behind the empty gestures and deceptive rhetoric, Romney was not pro-life
or a defender of marriage by any stretch of the imagination.
He was a disaster," said O'Gorman, of the board for Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
He said Romney "deceptively" claims to have been awarded
a pro-life award from the group.

"The award Romney arranged for himself with the local Pioneer Valley Chapter
was the Mullins Award for Political Leadership, not a pro-life award
and not approved by MCFL's state board of directors," he said.
"We're blowing the whistle to warn voters…
"

[Family leaders call Romney 'disaster' - Letter criticizes 'deceptive rhetoric' around candidate]

Myth Romney, plagiarist, taking credit for Duncan Hunter's fence, without attribution.
