Presumed GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney came out Wednesday against the planned burning of the Quran by a Florida pastor, saying that doing so would endanger American troops.
Burning the Quran is wrong on every level, the former Massachusetts governor said in a statement to POLITICO. It puts troops in danger, and it violates a founding principle of our republic.

Maybe so. But the Constitution protects all on the spectrum of intelligence. So burn baby burn. It’s bad enough that our society now buckles to the feelings of a few in this country. But now for muzzie scum in a foreign country? Yeesh!

" But the pastor is a private citizen. "
That is the big difference in this whole controversy, it is his right as a private citizen that the US Constitution protects.

Maybe one day, you’ll actually post something of value here.

It would be very interesting when the question would arise in any presidential debate if he were to be asked “ on which side would you take and defend if it were to come down to a war between Christians and Muslims “ .

"
Nice to live in a country subservient to arabs and chicoms, eh?"
It's certainly entertaining at times. Some of the same political folks who are dumping our economy are building bunkers and tunnels up here (yes, government employees). ...very stoic and unfriendly lot of lifetime civilians/REMFs.
In the meantime, we can enjoy a free, public domain movie,
Private Buckaroo (1942)
At about 23 minutes into the film, you'll hear something that I referred to earlier. ...won't find the lyrics on the Net, though, because this is not the Greatest Generation.

“Theres not a damned thing we can do to make them stop trying to kill us”?
That’s not necessarily true jazminerose.
Someone coming after you to kill you you kill them first.
Or else you can kum bi ya them until they succeed and kill you first.

Maybe one day, youll actually post something of value here. Like pro-Romney threads? I doubt it.
Like day old Limbaugh transcripts? I doubt it.
You keep hoping, though. It'll do you good.

Naw. We'll do fine right here, after the spendthrift "progressives" around us have starved or run away to their preferred countries. They can take their third world pets, zoning regulations and HOAs with them.

But of course. I should have clarified. None of the stupid crap libtards want us to do will make them not want to kill us all.
Wiping out the bad guys is the only sure cure.

Splendid!
My favorite is the bumpersticker where the crescent has a bundle of dynamite taped to it.
I can’t find it available anymore, dammit.

Yes, you should never burn a book that consists of some words that a lunatic claims God told him to write.

I am opposed to burning books - but this is a political statement, and in that regard it is an expression of speech which is of course guaranteed by our Constitution.
******************
I was thinking about this, as burning books is just generally bad policy. I think I figured out a way around this dilemma.
Preserve the book, but bind it in pigskin.

I wont say thats all right. It is, of course, a right. No one forces anyone. Its a matter of free will, and values. In this case Mitt Romney family values. No doubt Mitt, who honestly wanted to serve in Viet Nam, but sadly had pressing LDS business in France, told many times his sons about his regrets. ( Who doesnt get older with out them? ). But, Its nice Mitt has informed us unwashed, non-Harvard types that the Islamist who are now seriously thinking about how they really love us, might well become a wee bit angry.
Thanks Mitt. Youre a big help.

Well said.

I don't like those things either.
I think Palin got it right...perfectly legal and protected, but wrong.
Romney threw in a bunch of mumbo jumbo about "founding principles" that are totally irrelevant.
