Border agents arrested 20 illegal immigrants Tuesday morning who were attempting to enter the country by sea at Calafia State Beach in San Clemente.
When the small craft the immigrants were riding in land landed, the occupants attempted to flee. Agents with the U.S. Border Patrol arrested 17 men and three women, all from Mexico.
A 36-year-old woman suffered a broken leg while jumping from the boat, according to a statement from the U.S. Border Patrol in San Diego. She was taken to a hospital for treatment. The others were taken to a Border Patrol station for processing.
No further details were immediately available, but the Associated Press said the incident occurred about 3 a.m.

So, are they going to be sent home, or will they be given medicaid cards ?

San Clemente is quite a ways from the border.
I used to surf Tressel's and Church's quite bit...back in the day.

How did they know they were illegal immigrants?
Did they ask for an id or paperwork to show they were here legally? Certainly not, since the president has said that would be racism at its highest level.
Just how did they determine these were illegal immigrants? I really want to know.

“She was taken to a hospital for treatment.”
On our dime.
“The others were taken to a Border Patrol station for processing.”
Before being released, no doubt.

Yes, it’s so normal for legitimate sailors to sail against the current. Why even stop them?

Once they are cleaned up, patched up, fed and clothed, they will be released with orders to attend a hearing sometime in the future. Probably none of them will show up.

Don’t see any of our fearless leaders trying to stop it, do you?
And the media says illegal immigration is down...but receipts to Mexico, Central America are UP. Everyone in Juarez (especially the politicians all live in the US. Liars.

There was also a successful landing on Mission Beach, San Diego last night. The operator and occupants escaped. There must be a pretty good success rate, otherwise they would stop coming by boat. We live 300 yards from the beach and have a wide view of the ocean. The USCG and DHS rarely have any patrol craft out there when the sunsets or rises. Usually, the boats are reported by civilians on the beach and the police and DHS race to intercept them on land. At least one landing a week is intercepted or observed in San Diego. I wonder what happens to the boats. My guess is that they are returned to Mexico, because the owner reports them stolen. The boats probably cost $30k with hull and motor, so they wouldn't sacrifice many boats.

This harkens to the scene from Deliverance where the mountain man says, "This river don't go to [a sanctuary city] Aintry. You done taken a wrong turn. See uh, this here river don't go nowhere near [a sanctuary city] Aintry."

I was thinking also that, when boats sail in international waters, they are required to fly the flag of the nation of origin. I wonder whether these boat people boats are sporting a flag of any kind. And I think it is a matter of concern if USCG is not patrolling and on the alert for interloper boats filled with illegals. Who is your congressman?
