Well, our kids were good, and I'm a teacher, but I never had the guts to homeschool them. Just very hands on involvement in their schools and lots of dialogue. (They turned out fine, btw. :)

Their schools were very conservative, so we didn't have problems with leftist inculcation, but I think if I had school aged kids now, I'd give homeschooling a try. Things have deteriorated badly "out there."
