Why, Bibles have never been destroyed in the Saudi Kingdom! /sarc
Those are what I called you on and what I have posted, your arrogance in demanding that he be a veteran of Afghanistan or Iraq to offer his opinion, and your mocking of his "bravery" when you assumed that he wasn't was over the top.
To quote you, who by the way is a non-veteran, or "keyboard commando" as you call them.
"Thank you for your service, Ruffian. ansel, not a stupid question, and not in the least 'embarrassing.'
There are boatloads of keyboard commandos around here who speak belligerant words from the safety of mommy's basement. They haven't earned the right to say, go ahead. Put our troops at risk. Ruffian has.
You must certainly be aware of these blowhard phonies, aren't you, ansel? If not, I'm glad to have illuminated your darkness."
You keep twisting ohio’s words.
By keyboard commando, she is not saying that somone that is not in the military has no right to speak on the issue. She is talking about those that speak so boldly about what our military should face when they have never served.
She qualified where the other posters bravery came from and thanked him for his service.
She doesn’t qualify as a keyboard commando because despite the fact that she has not served, she is also not advocating that we put them in harms way for this fool’s (pastor’s) errand.
In the context of this thread and this topic, it is non of her business whether someone served specifically in Afghanistan or Iraq as she specified, nor does anyone need to be a veteran at all, to offer their opinion on this thread or on the topic of this church demonstration.
She thanked that poster because she had her head handed to her, he just happened to be a veteran of that current war which she clearly did not expect, she thought she had him by the short ones and her mocking tone proves that.
This was a big embarrassment for her and explains why she won’t let it go.
And why won’t you let it go?
She may not have expected that answer but the question was still legit. If you aren’t willing to risk your life in war, do not antagonize an enemy that someone else will have to fight.
You keep posting to me about another poster, why not move on?
No one needs to be a veteran of Afghanistan or Iraq to comment on this demonstration in Florida, and it is especially bizarre to see that demand from a non-veteran trying to run over someone with a valid opinion.
I was originally against this Koran burning, but now I think we need to make a national movement of it, just to freak out all of the panicky cowards and keyboard commandos.
Neither the question, nor the response was even slightly embarrassing because it was relevant to the nature of the post I replied to. If someone is advocating putting our troops at greater risk then it is relevant whether or not he or she has served in the defense of this country. He did. There are a lot of keyboard blowhards out there, as you well know.
So.......poor ansel really, really wants to fight, and he's ticked that I'm not falling for his name-calling silliness. And because he is, he keeps escalating his imaginary accusations (love the liar thing. it's nutso).
So I think it's best to leave him to stew in his own bile, because it was old and predictable from the moment he started his nasty little game.
I'm sitting here in wonderment that anyone is so desperate as to make up this dopey one-sided fight and refuses to let go.
Sad. Really sad. I should have let him rant to himself rather than engaging him at all. Waste of time when there are people who really want to discuss the issue and not take personal potshots at people with other opinions.
Good bye ansel.
What I was saying was very clear (you've interpreted it perfectly) and he's deliberately continued to misconstrue it because he's too stubborn to let go, and can't admit he's been out of line.
ansel, courtesy ping. Not interested in any more of your misplaced anger coming my way. Please don't reply to this one.
This was a valid post by the poster, your comeback at him, requiring current military service in theatre, was asinine.
There will be backlash not only for our military but for Americans and especially Christians worldwide.
Probably, but I am all for goading them at this point.
Part of their strategy is to act violent if they dont get their way. Well, let them act violent, so we can kill them.

You keep posting to Ohio about her post to another poster. Why not move on?
Do you have a reading comprehension problem. Noone said you needed to be a veteran to comment. Noone said you needed to be a veteran to post brave stuff about fighting the Muslims.
Ohio was making a point about people who talk brave with no action. The other poster didn’t fall into that category.
I'm obviously communicating clearly.
I am 60 something woman, and have never served in the military. If I said what he said I meant, then I wouldn't let me have an opinion and voice it on the subject.
Does this make any sense? LOL!
btw, I think you’re pretty brave to homeschool three kids. I had four and wouldn’t dream of trying to teach them all at home. :)
Exactly!
Thank you! My husband is very helpful to me and I have great kids. I am truly blessed!
Their schools were very conservative, so we didn't have problems with leftist inculcation, but I think if I had school aged kids now, I'd give homeschooling a try. Things have deteriorated badly "out there."
Anyway, congratulations to you!
LOL, my whole point is the outrageousness of her requiring that he not "fall into that category". What if he had never been in the military? She thought she had the guy.
By the way, why don't you let it go, and move on?
I would not personally burn the Koran even though the text advocates killing Christians. (How about someone reading what it states.) That aside, let's see the Sudan or Egypt or Saudi Arabia open up to Christian tolerance if they expect us to open up to Muslim tolerance. There have been far more Christians executed in Muslim countries then there have been Korans burned in Christian countries.
Its funny that you keep asking everyone else to move on but you wont.
She didn’t require anything. She asked a question.
LOL, I'm mocking you, you were the one that jumped in out of the blue and posted that to me. The question is, why don't you move on?

You are the one that posted to me that Ohio wouldn’t let it go and THEN I asked you why you wouldn’t. I didn’t jump in out of the blue.
LOL!!!
