Excellent points relating to the Wahhabist Saudis, the murderous Taliban, coupled with Islam's refusal to recogize Israel right to exist as a nation, a nation which does indeed allow mosques, churches, and even Arab-Muslims & communists in the Israeli Knesset.

Another point is how many shuls or churches are allowed in Arabia or under Taliban despotic rule.

Also, these are numerous Islamic sleepers are lurking in America, Canada and the rest of the Western World, ready to following through on future jihadist orders, either Shi'ite or Sunni Wahhabist. The focus should be on deportation, and direct action targeting the OPEC-mega-bankrolled dictatorial exporters of Islamic terrorism against the West and Western troops.

Burning the Quran is not new in Islam. Their 3rd Caliph and the son-in-law of Muhammad, Othman, had burned the 6 out of 7 versions of the Quran, while compiling the version that exist today. After that Muhammad’s child-wife Aisha and his another son-in-law Ali jointly conspired and murdered him for political reasons, a legacy which they inherited from Muhammad. And they justified his murder for burning the Quran.

Signs in Saudi airports warn Muslim travelers that the airport's mutawwa’in, or religious police, confiscate Korans, other Islamic literature, and Muslim objects of non-Saudi origin. While discriminating specifically against Shiites and Ahmadis, this policy manifests a wider insistence on Wahhabi supremacism.

Will these confiscated books be stored or trashed or even burned?

All electronic devices are now required to be submitted for check-up before the immigration section. These include cellular phones with memory cards, flash disks, external hard drives, laptops, ipod and mp3 players.

A special device will be inserted into the electronic devices that will scan all videos, pictures etc. which will be recorded to their main computer. All devices with nude or sexy pictures and similar materials will be immediately confiscated. Laptops with pirated software will also be confiscated.

I think people are putting too much into the book bnurning, it is only paper and not in short supply ... IMO, it is being used as an excuse for being a coward, afraid to offend

Yeah... well the King James Version is the last version that is a translation from hebrew...

That's okay as far as Hebrew scholarship went back then and then there's
1. the matter of the NT portion being translated from the inferior Greek apparatus assembled by Erasmus trying to beat others into print with the first Greek NT by using much later manuscripts of more dubious origin as well as back-translating from the Vulgate to Greek to come up with Greek texts he didn't have as well as inventing various Greek words at times,

2. the NT era Jews and Christians used the Septuagint OT not the Masoretic text (interestingly the Christians were so good at gaining converts using the Septuagint that rabbis switched back to the Hebrew text),

3. King James instructions to translators to make sure their translation supported the ecclesiology of the Church of England, and

4. the problem of trying to figure out what in the world 400 year old English means or, even worse, assuming that what you think you're reading is what they thought they were reading 4 centuries ago.

Thanks but I don't know how smart it is to burn the Qur'an. I say burn it however with so many recent episodes of our military men being murdered by the men they train in Afghanistan this highly publicized stunt will have many we've never seen before rioting in the streets and have probably thousands of our own leaders, editors, left wing "tolerance" queens and of course the wimp house gesticulating madly about such intolerance where if they looked at their hypocritical madness in the mirror they'd be wise to realize they are fulfilling prophecy after prophecy of the Bible.

Islam is not even tolerant of their own people let alone others outside their bloody cult. How many were killed in Tunisia, Egypt/Yemen, Uganda propagated by the PLO( Idi Amin died in Saudi Arabia), Sudan, so many African nations, Indonesia, Iraq/Iran, the Balkan states, Chechnya, the US!!!? The list is endless and yet our country cowers to these worshipers of a moon god and a black rock. It's absolutely appalling. But they've murdered for less, a cartoonist for example.

True, but then, it's only a book.

As are the writings of a number of religions which are held to be sacred to the believers therein.

If the Muslims were burning Bibles, there'd be outrage, too.

It is a provocation which only serves to enrage those of that faith who are not yet enraged. In the eyes of those on the fence, it is an act which will 'justify' the rhetoric. It will become a textbook case of 'infidel behaviour' for those seeking to recruit jihadis.

The only possible benefit from this is the exposure of Islamist rage, and we already have seen that with far less blatant provocation.

Very good points.

If America had a real President, who would take this elongated war against Islamic terrorism directly to the main funding & training sources, there would not be any talk of burning Qur'ans, since we would be gaining in general victories, which the current elected domestic enemies in the House & Senate do not favour, brazenly reflected in their leftist P/C lexicon, it is strictly forbidden to use 'jihadist', Muslim, or Islamist when addressing Islamic terrorism.

Well this whole situation just brings us closer to the day the real G!D of the Bible takes His vengeance. Sorry to wax maystic on you but it seems to me our country at least the government is reaping what it has sown. Sadly that flows to the individuals, all "we the the people" in a tragic way. I wrote that prior to Obama stating this guy however nutty shouldn't burn the Qur'an; ha ha but he also called an officer stupid, said nothing when Hasan murdered numerous army folks posted at Ft Hood, letting the Imam go free, oh so many maddening statements including orders from on high the new Black Panthers get a pass. He's been bowing and swinging arm in arm with the muslim folks in an incredibly strange way then drops millions to hamas and abortion clinics; this country has turned upside-down.

I honestly do not feel our government is serving we the people and do not think burning a Qur'an is a big deal. our own DoD has just burned thousands of Bibles, and muslims nations trash bibles daily, so screw them. They started thios "holy" war, someone has to finish it or G!D will.

Yes, agreed, but is the problem genuine religion or some sort of tribalism? In the case of genuine religion the person lives according to the rules out of love for his fellow man. Whereas in the case of tribalism the group is manipulated and held together with the "us against them" mentality.

In any case it is the real human beings that should matter and not the book.
