Problem is, I don't believe those polls. No way are Shuler and Kissell both 17% ahead in this climate - only if all the other polls from around the country showing Republicans doing well are all wrong. Hell, Hayes lost by 'only' 10% in 2008, so why would Kissell be even farther ahead in a poll today? It's as fishy as the Elaine Marshall poll showing her ahead by 2%...

Exactly. I don't believe the Lawson poll either. Maybe a 10 point fudge factor all around. Lawson's down 10, Kissell and Shuler are or were up 7, Marshall's down 8. Give or take.

Interestingly, the Shuler internal poll was just released but was taken July 8-13(!!!) I'm sure he has more current polling, but nothing showing a 17-point lead.
