GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A Christian minister said Tuesday that he will go ahead with plans to burn copies of the Quran to protest the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks despite warnings from the top U.S. general in Afghanistan and the White House that doing so would endanger U.S. troops.
Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center said he understands the government's concerns, but plans to go forward with the burning this Saturday, the ninth anniversary of the attacks.

Nope, this pastor is one of those who wears his religion on his sleeve and refuses to recognize the religion of pieces. He has been doing all sorts of things to tweek them for years out of this little church. What’s ripe is the muzzies threatening to kill us . . . . . again.
It was enevitable that somewhere along the long road we have been on since 1978, somebody would stand up to them and make a case for the contradictions of their humanity within the text. It just took this pastor of a 50 member church to be the one. Will his act change things overnight? Nope but the seed will be planted.

Phelps’ group insults grieving military families. Jones is telling the world that islam is an evil cult. No, I don’t see the similarities. Please point them out to me.
Give in on one demand from a psychopath and there will be another demand right on its heels. It sure doesn't sound like good military strategy to give ground to the enemy on the basis of their emotional state of mind.

Well...they do joint protests..On April 18, 2010, members of the church participated in a joint protest with the Westboro Baptist Church against homosexuality.

I still support burning the koran. I would support banning islam from America.
If there is it lacks the severity of a sitting US senator (Kerry) stating publicly that our troops terrorize innocent women and children or of a sitting US representative (Murtha) stating publicly that our troops kill innocent civilians in cold blood.
I am anti-islam and will support those who support showing the world what islam really represents. You are free to support muslims all you want. It is still (at least until we have sharia law) a free country.

I guess I watch too much Military Channel. I thought the military had some specific role in dealing with killers and training to handle it.
I plan on burning a Quran on 9-11 in memory of the 2000 Americans murdered on that day. I already have the book soaking in gasoline for a week so it burns real good!
