Stupid article, the best soliders are Beta Males,
The rest or the article is off-topic crap.
‘Alpha’ behavior as described here is more like “Enjoys unearned privilige with abandon”.

Derided by “society” as “extremists”, scorned by employers as not “team players” and rejected by “modern” women as “insensitive”, is it any wonder they are a vanishing breed?

The author's logic seems to be: In every war in which America participated, her most-able ("alpha males") were more likely to get killed than the fainter-hearted (or shirkers).

Yes - but hasn't it always been that way since virtually the beginning of time? All over the world?

By that logic, the human species should now be nothing more than a pack of degenerate, lazy, slovenly...

Wait, strike that!

Regards,

“They make no attempt to get in touch with their feminine side, as they probably didn’t know they had one, (if informed that they did, would most likely recoil in horror), and yet have the strength of character to be the gentlest of men with those they love.”
Well said!!!
It defines my husband-and many wonderful American males. I also like men who drive big pick-up trucks and not those wimpy Euro-weeny cars that look like boxes.

The Man prayer;

I’m a man

But I can change

If I have to

I guess

Years ago, a friend asked my husband what he would do if our son came to him and said he was gay.

My husband looked at her and said, “I would tell him: No, you’re not.”

She knew he was serious.

(and my son is appropriately girl-crazy!)

In praise of alpha males, of whom I, for one, am inordinately fond.

They also have a weakness for ‘muscle’ cars, and if these were no longer available, the biggest, most imposing truck or SUV would have to do.

Hint to men that think cars "make" them manly...they don't.

But they look so much better in a big truck than they do when they try to fit their frames in a teeny-tiny car...imho, of course :)

A lot of the alpha males live and work outside of the metro-sexual world of big business, politics, and middle mgmt, many of them find freedom in blue collar world and construction and such, many men are unwilling to trade being true, honest speaking men to becoming players in the life paths that consist of constant compromise, and personality adjustment.

Hint to those who think men think cars make them manly.

We don’t.

Cars are tools, but for most men, they are also more than just appliances. Just as a wife is more than a baby-dispenser, and guns are more than projectile-emitters.

The difference is both subtle and important.

YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND. Alpha males don’t choose muscle cars to make themselves Alpha males. They choose them BECAUSE they are Alpha males.

We don’t

Then you didn't need the hint.

Unfortunatly, some alpha-wanabees do need the hint.

Henry Knox was a tall man, and in childhood, a tall boy. He and Washington were said to be of roughly the same height.
