The Gov. can't help it. NYers still think NYC is the center of the universe. There was a young girl on FR a few years ago lamenting that she didn't know how people who lived in other parts of the country were able to make a living because they didn't live in NYC. She couldn't help it she as raised to think like that.

You are right as far as you go, but I believe that business should take the next logical step. They should move Wall Street - lock, stock, and barrel, to Florida. The real estate is cheap and available, the climate is a lot better, and the taxes are much more favorable. What's not to like????

If our financial gurus did this, it would send a message to all of the other high tax states that they have to be competitive if they want businesses to stay put.
