Acts 19: 18 Many also of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices. 19 And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of everyone; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing. 21 Now after these things were finished, Paul purposed in the Spirit to

The New Testament does include book burnings.

Don't tell me you're so indiscriminate as to be unable to see the difference between recent converts burning their own magic books and a church called the "Dove Outreach Center" burning a central religious text of another religion or that the appearance of something in the New Testament, even done by people who called themselves believers, doesn't necessarily denote approval (after all, the Corinthians were supposedly believers but having all sorts of weird sexual relationships that Paul said even the pagans didn't engage in), much less establish a general rule of behavior (for example, nowhere is there anything like, "and the apostles ordered that all believers bring forth non-Christian scriptures and writings and burn them as a sign of their belief in the one true faith.")

I threw all sorts of other religious books away when I became a believer because they were no longer consistent with my life but I didn't launch a media blitz to draw attention to the fact.

I guess you must have missed the part of the verse that says that these new Christians burned their Idolatrous Sacred books "IN THE SIGHT OF EVERYONE"

They wanted the idolaters to know that they were rejecting their idolatry and burning their sacred texts. They did, in fact, launch a media blitz, since it was reported in every Bible ever printed after that event.

This church apparently owns a copy of the Koran. They need to burn it.
