Jimmy Breslin on the National Mood - Moonbat Alert!
Harper's Magazine ^ | Jimmy Breslin

Posted on 09/06/2010 2:43:38 PM PDT by Pride_of_the_Bluegrass

There are these sudden loud noises in the hotel kitchen, one, two, three, probably a tray falling, and then there is so much screaming and a hand holding a gun high in the air and Robert Kennedy, who had walked into the gun, is on the floor with his eyes seeing nothing. On this June night in 1968 he has just won a Presidential primary and suddenly he is fit only for a gravedigger’s dirt.

I think that the left is starting to get a bit unnerved.

Perhaps he is trying to send a message to Øbongo. I hope that Øbongo heeds it - violence against presidents can happen and when it does, it comes from the left.

I don’t suppose it would do any good to suggest that he stop purposely pissing people off?

You ain’t seen nothing yet. It is going to get very, very shrill starting this week. The nut jobs know they’re going down in a big defeat and their side show is coming out of the big-tent in the near future.

Umhh - Sirhan Sirhan was a disgruntled Palestinian.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a disgruntled communist.

And the folks shooting up innocent people (or threatening such) nowadays are more likely to be disgruntled Al Gore fans rather than Glenn Beck fans.

Breslin might be able to make a case on James Earl Ray - but I’m pretty sure he’d be tossed out of any Tea Party get together I’ve seen , and you sure have to go back a ways to get to him.

At the tender age of 80, perhaps Mr. Breslin should stick to the BINGO parlor.

Apparantly Mr. Breslin believes that people who are outraged by the construction of an islamic victory mosque on real estate that was liberated at the cost of approximately 3,000 innocent American lives, that people who oppose this are cut from the same cloth as Sirhan Sirhan, whom he (Breslin) apparantly personally helped to subdue after he expressed his feelings by gunning down Robert Kennedy back in Summer Of Love Plus One.

Mr. Breslin is, don't forget, an intellectual bus-bar of The Enlightened.

Breslin is like an out of kilter Shakespeare. This is full of sound and fury, but devoid of any meaning.

Then again, conservatives can fight back too.

This guy, Anthony Sanders from George Mason, was also on Fox and Friends this morning.

Then what was it, only a couple of years later, when the skies screamed nameless revenge and hurled James Earl Ray into Memphis to shoot Martin Luther King and that night, when riots broke out everywhere, I sat with Andrew Young in a musty room in Memphis and he talked so quietly about the madness of the air people were breathing. The identical madness that was in Los Angeles where it built another stadium for murder. And all day yesterday, while they squalled and broke out poor Jesus at rallies to help them promote race and baseline dumbness, many could barely wait for September 11th, when they can act as owners of the place where the World Trade Center stood. Look around; they say they are victims but they appear to be just another mob trying to take us apart.

Forget Kennedy.

Breslin rises from the grave to mumble, “Mutton, mutton, mutton,” once again as the election cycle winds up.

It’s not the 60’s. That’s dead.

These wretched lefty retreds are embarrassing to watch in their incontinence, gumming their words and pretending “Hair” is playing downtown.

Go home Baby Boomer, you and the rest of your red diaper babies and stop screwing with the country. You’ve done enough damage.

Apparently Jimmy is dead and the editors gave his typewriter to a monkey.

Not that you could really tell the difference.

Let me try that again, with proper quote formatting....

O-o-o-o-kaay...

So Jimmy is anticipating that those of us who are involved in the tea-parties, anti-9/11 mosque protests, conservative rallies and the like are a bunch of hate-crazed loons who are about to start assassinating the Great and Good left and right and who want to turn the country upside-down and inside-out just like in the sixties?

I thought the NYT crowd was taking a new tack once it started to sink in that gratuitously insulting and damning 68% of the country was failing to have the desired effect.

Jimmy is a little late to the party.

Breslin is so “early 1900s” in the way he thinks.

Didn’t they pretty much reveal that James Earl Ray killed MLK for money?

Drivel.

The three assinations he mentions were committed by a Muslim terrorist, a Communist, and a fruitcake. None of them were committed by “mobs,” as he refers to the ordinary people who are peacefully protesting the building of a Muslim Mosque at ground zero—by a Muslim advocate and sponsor of Islamic terrorism and jihad.

I must say, I thought Jimmy Breslin was more intelligent than this. I used to rather like him, although I was never a real fan. I think he may be suffering from senile dementia.

I find that he was born on October 17, 1930, which makes him about 80. Not really all that old, but evidently his mind is starting to go, judging from this confused article.

Astonishingly hateful and vile. Breslin is way past time to retire.
