Over at stopnetregulation.org, Seton Motley reports that if the Democrats can't ban books, they'll try to ban book promotion. Democrats are furious that the conservative Threshhold imprint of Simon & Schuster (a corporate cousin of CBS) published a book by three House Republicans titled "Young Guns," and included a promotional video: That was too much free speech for the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), which lawyered up and sent the publishing house an ominous letter intimating it may be in violation of several campaign finance laws - claiming the video was an in-kind contribution to Republicans.

Talk about getting desperate.
They fear the truth.
Maxist, like Muslims, only believe in level playing field for THEMSELVES.
they will lie, cheat, steal, and dump the constitution for anyone else.....
Another example of just how far the socialists
will go to hang on to the levers of power.
Threats? Intimidation? Hell yes!
Constitution? Fiddlestix!
The terror is stareing us right in the face.
Once again pointing out the unconstitutionality of campaign finance laws. These laws are designed by and for the benefit of the political class. They do nothing but suppress the rights of the people to engage in political speech.
When will George Soros be stopped & arrested?
They can try, they can believe they will control the printing presses but there are alternatives.
Not to jump on a bandwagon but there is now a new thing out like the Ipad and Kindle, and they cannot stifle them.
They are impotent. maybe we should start calling them demotents?
Illegal contributions? Unlike the corporations that bought 50,000 copies of Jim Wright’s book and threw them in a warehouse.
To the democrat party, the Republican Party is illegal.
If this book deal is illegal then how can Andy Griffith pimp Obamacare on national television?
It is starting to appear as though freedom of speech and “hope and change” (Obamanism) are not compatible.
“maybe we should start calling them demotents?”
How about “Dimpotents?”
‘Impotard’ has a nice ring to it.
It used to be that the libs would just whine about some effective conservative tactic and we’d cave in and stop doing what worked.
Today conservatives seem to be learning to laugh in their face, display their hypocracy, and press on with our point and reinforce our attack.

Eric Cantor (Author), Paul Ryan (Author), Kevin McCarthy (Author)
But if a private enterprise promotes a book they've published, THAT'S illegal.
I think I see...
“It is starting to appear as though freedom of speech and hope and change (Obamanism) are not compatible.”
Hope and Change? Someone on another thread called it “Hype and Chains.”
“in kind contribution”
You mean like the in kind contributions by our MSM? That was a key complaint about the MSM’s electioneering - that no one ever acknowledged that the MSM devoted in kind contributions to get Obama elected. MASSIVE in kind contributions by multiple networks which effectively selected our POTUS.
