AMSTERDAM (CBS/AP) Joran van der Sloot has reportedly acknowledged extorting money from Natalee Holloway's parents and claims he did it to get back at them.
The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf quotes the Dutchman as confessing to taking money from the family of the American in return for revealing the location of Holloway's body in an interview published today. He was indicted in the U.S. in June for extortion after being caught in an FBI sting.
Tthe place he indicated as her burial site turned out to be bogus.

How many young women has this guy casually killed? I guess we’ll never know. It makes you nostalgic for the days when they took such obvious and open criminals out and hanged them from the nearest tree.

Basically, he’s also getting back at his own mother for giving birth to him. You would think Anita Van der Sloot would be seeking anonymity in some far flung place where nobody knew, instead she hangs on to that house in Aruba, like it is her prison (maybe it is her prison sentence, because poor Natalee’s mortal remains are hidden there after all).
Van der Sloot initially confessed to killing Flores to Peru police, but later said he only did so because he was intimidated and had been promised he would be extradited to the Netherlands.
His requests to have his confession in the Flores case retracted - on the grounds that he did not have proper legal representation or an official translator - have so far been denied.
Ms. Flores's father was 2 times a Presidential Candidate in Peru. He is friends with the current President of Peru. He will not escape this time. Probably prison justice will seal his fate. Van der Sloot is evil, personified.

He’s very possibly a serial killer. If anyone ever deserved the death penalty, it’s this psychopath. He can never go free, and the death penalty would assure that.

Oh, I’m not really worried. It’s been posted here how nasty Peruvian prisons are. His *daddy* was the reason he was not prosecuted in Aruba. “And justice for all”...unless you have connections.
I understand they’re letting this guy out for a few weeks so he can do DWTS. The show will set all new records for a viewing audience because together with Van der Sloot will be:
