The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
WOW!! Fantastic! I’m so happy for you! You’ll
NEVER forget it. Pres. Bush was unbelievably
great last night .. and I am honestly still STUNNED
at the roaring applauses he received out in the Left
Coast. Were there a lot of military in the audience perhaps ?
Another great segment from the Left Coast was Dennis
Miller’s Veterans Day appearance with Jay Leno .. the
audience WAS all military for this event, so you can
imagine ... ;)
He’s SO quick and witty .. cracks me up. The show
videos are the 2nd and 3rd videos here:

God bless & protect our awesome troops!
Thanks so much for sharing it with us! You showed great foresight in getting those tickets on a 'hunch.' GOOD work, sister!
(And I didn't even remember to DVR the show. RATS!)

SOOOOOO excited for you, patty!! How smart you were to get tickets for that day! I LOVED reading your report. Am so thrilled that our dear GWB got such a wonderful welcome-—and I know you did your part. What a bummer about the book!!! I think you need to write him a note about going to the taping, how wonderful it was and how disappointed you were that you didn’t bring your book to have him sign it-—you will hear back from him I bet. Thanks for taking the time to share with us!!!
OMG that is so awesome
Oh what a great experience and thanks for letting us share! I saw the show on Leno’s website. He was great!
I've never seen it, and it's just beautiful.
THANKS!
(Wherever did you find it??)
Actually, I didn’t see any military members in that audience. But still, President Bush got an enthusiastic response. It was just so incredible. When my cousin and I got to the studio, I kind of expected to see some leftist protesters denouncing him outside but they were nowhere to be found.
Well, it just shows even here in California there’s plenty of people here who respect and admire GWB. I guess the anti-war liberals just got bored and have moved on since he’s no longer in office. Thank you guys for all your nice comments so far. I came to that show not only to enjoy myself but to represent all of you dosers here. What an unforgettable experience!
Wow - that is WONDERFUL. I’m soooo glad President Bush got to hear thunderous applause. These things are taxing for him to go through, but to have the audience be so gracious makes you energized! I’m sooo glad you went and thank you sooooo much for your report! I’m right there with you in spirit! It must have been so exciting! ***Happy for you pattyvita!!!!!
I didn’t know that either!!! wooooooo
Very cool - I’m just so glad to read your account and to read patty’s full report of BEING there! How exciting! How GREAT for such a wonderful Patriot. Our President needed to hear from ALL of us! LOL
WOW! WOW! WOW! Thank you for sharing your amazing experience!
I actually managed to stay awake long enough to record Leno last night and am so glad I did — our President was awesome and the crowd was incredibly enthusiastic. The videotape is even more special now that I know you were in the audience representing all of us — we DOSErs are every where!!
THANK YOU for posting so many AWESOME photos of our loving and beloved First Couple — the first photo is particularly touching!

Really great article...loved reading the personal comments Bush made to individuals. He notices when people think he might not be paying attention...nice.
