The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
even though he certainly aggravated me his second term in particular I have enjoyed seeing him around and plan to buy his book for the narrative
he was inspirational for his war management record
I saw it!! :-) Did you see how Lady Laura almost danced to the podium when she was introduced? Lord love her! Every time I see them, I realize how much I miss them and how fall we have fallen.
This may be the only shovel ready project in America
LOVED this comment by VP Cheney!! And, the crowd loved it too.....You go, Mr. Cheney!! Looks like our wonderful VP has lost some weight but it was good to see him. Condi looked beautiful and classy, as always. She got a VERY enthusiastic welcome, deservedly so!
Of course, W was wonderful and lovely Laura gave a fantastic speech. Ahhh, it was just terrific. So glad C-Span covered this event.
I saw her .. she was sparkling and gracious,
as always. Great, uplifting program and
and incredible resource for freedom long into
the future. It’s going to do great things.
THANK YOU for the ‘play by play’ coverage of this AWESOME event. I actually closed my office door (told my admin to hold all calls/visitors) and watched the webcast produced by the GWB Presidential Center while simultaneously reading the live ‘chat’ streamed by dallasnews.com/the SMU Mustang newspaper.
I’m happy to learn that CSpan2 carried the event live; now I know that I can purchase a dvd from them (IF the Presidential Center decides not to offer one)!
BTW: Texas/Dallas/SMU is definitely Bush Country!! [Bush supporters actually confronted the Cindy Sheehan lead protesters and shouted them down — I LOVE it!]
Yea for them!!
‘.. just shut your eyes and pretend hes still President and I swear I actually feel better/safer/more relaxed!..’
YES! Nord, I wasn’t even conscious of this until you, very astutely, mentioned this....seeing and hearing President Bush, VP Cheney, Sec. Rice made me “feel” so comfortable, and secure. It was, once again, a time when I thought the leaders of our country loved America, all she stood for, our military and their families. It brought back the ‘feeling’ that I could trust our leaders. Oh, for those days.
You make me smile—and you are right! It does feel better! I think it is comforting to know that he is still around. I miss him a lot. The interviews are amazing and reinforce everything we know about him-—he is so humble, so stable, so intelligent, has amazing leadership skills, so wise, so compassionate—and such a great sense of humor. What a great man!!
The next three are especially for ohioWfan ;) :
This one makes me smile:
WOW! Thanks very much, (((dmd25))) Laura and Condi in RED. Beautiful photos! VP Cheney is a tough guy!
Thank you very much for posting these pictures!
Thanks to all of you posters for your faithful following of THE president. I knew I missed quite a few interviews etc the last few days, but I also knew that you great people would have articles and links to get my W fix. Thanks again:)
Thanks for the ping, Star. I’m so excited about the GWB Presidential Center. None of us knows what God has in store for us, but I hope I’m still on the planet when the Center opens, because I really, really, REALLY want to visit it. :)
The sweetness in all four of these wonderful people shines through, doesn't it? They are just glowing!
What we have lost in this country! It is almost unthinkable.
But I am praising the Lord for the work this center will do for liberty and for the elevation of 'the least of these.'
Article from CBS about today’s festivities, emphasizing
VP Cheney’s awesome comments about our President and

Great pics of today, dmd!! Thank you. Look how radiant
they are.
I’m with you! It’s going to be magnificent.
You do an absolutely marvelous job of finding new pictures. These are GREAT! They all look so happy. Cheney looks thinner, though! Hope he’s doing ok!
I’m currently listening to the replay from the C-SPAN website, listening to former VP Cheney. The constant haters, whiners and complainers on both the Left and Right should listen to that speech and take it to heart. Too bad the whole gaggle of them don’t have even a fraction of the class, decency and courage of our 43rd President.
THANK YOU so much for the stunning photos of and articles about our GLOWING First Couple and their wonderful friends, e.g., VP Cheney and Condi!!
You will find A LOT of great photos, video and assorted links here:
