The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Oops, I neglected to include the following article with my earlier MUST READ recommendations:

It does feel good. I just love it that so many are seeing the GWB we know and love.
Wow—thanks DrDeb! So appreciate all your research. This is so much fun. :)
Thank you sooo much for always finding all these great articles, etc. Your efforts are much appreciated!!!
I LOVED this segment of Greta's interview (haven't seen the whole interview yet, actually--I was in the car and listened to some of it). GWB is showing her around some of the memorabilia/artifacts that will go in the library. I think Greta did a very good job of just letting GWB talk. He clearly enjoyed showing her the items and telling her (us!). It was so neat to just hear him talk and reminisce. If you don't watch any other part of the interview, watch this segment!
Rats...I got busy and forgot to watch that interview! *sigh*
I’ll bet it was good. Thanks for the link! You do good work!
Nite for now! :)
Thanks very much! I am watching now (TIVO’d).
Woohoo...I just caught the beginning of it and it’s now being recorded! :)
Nite!
The whole thing is on the website (in 4 segments) if you need it. :)
I watched Greta’s interview with President Bush last night, and also recorded the show, so I can watch it again. Don’t forget to set your DVR for Monday for Fox and Friends, when Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade show the video of their interview with President Bush and Hannity’s extended Interview with President Bush behind the scene or something like that
Finished reading Decision Points last night. What a fascinating book!
My only problem with Greta’s interview was when she HAD to ask W about what he said to that 50 yr old lady, when he was drunk. Really??? —Like the poor guy didn’t recount that story in EVERY interview leading up to hers. She didn’t have to go there, too.
I thought the same thing. Ugh. Made no sense. It isn’t like it was news—why make him talk about it again? GWB, though, was great in answering—so self-effacing!
I think it will be so interesting, for those of us who have loved him and followed him so closely, to go see his library!
I look forward to seeing the F&F interview. I am sure neither of those guys tried to pull any “Matt Lauer’s” on him. No interest in making him look bad.
All three of these men are enjoying each others company...nice to see Bush really enjoying himself here...will this be on fox video for all to see?
Fantastic pics!!!
